Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Bridget, you deserve to be fired from your job because you are terrible at your job, not because you had sex with a woman,

I love this so hard. Epic burn.

[–] trslim@pawb.social 310 points 10 months ago (2 children)

Sir, a second sex video has been found.

It's not gay if it's in a threeway!

Anyways, I don't care what shenanigans this lady gets up to in private, but can she now stop using hatred as a stepladder for her shitty political career?

[–] nilloc@discuss.tchncs.de 69 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Hatred is the only part of these people’s platform.

[–] SoleInvictus@lemmy.world 35 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

It's like a cheat code for winning over stupid people. Us social apes instinctually band together against things we feel threaten us. These douchebags just keep crying wolf, then bear, then cougar, then three headed rattlesnake, and the list goes on, and ride that fear to further their careers. A disappointingly large portion of the population never seems to notice how so many of these issues are entirely fictional.

[–] xantoxis@lemmy.world 44 points 10 months ago (7 children)

Yeah I feel weird about this one. She's a self-hating hypocrite and she's toxic, but attacking her sexuality is extremely not something I'm comfortable with. There is, on the other hand, an allegation that she seuxally assaulted someone, so I guess it makes sense that they're looking for this stuff.

But maybe stop telling the press about it? Do your investigation in private and get it done.

[–] ytorf@lemmy.world 52 points 10 months ago

It’s not (or shouldn’t be) about attacking her sexuality but highlighting the hypocrisy of her position. Sex sells but in principle it’s the same as if she started a group devoted to outlawing tiktok as immoral and then had her tiktok account exposed

[–] HerbalGamer@sh.itjust.works 35 points 10 months ago (6 children)

but attacking her sexuality is extremely not something I’m comfortable with.

She sure is comfortable attacking anyone else's so why is she off-limits now?

It's the hypocrisy that I dislike so much.

If she were a shit person preaching shit ideas but living by them? I'll still disagree but it won't be nearly as insulting as someone saying one thing and doing another.

Do as I say not as I do very much appears to be part of the GOP these days and it seems like every huckster and whore is getting in on the grift. It doesn't matter how you actually live your life; as long as you can tell certain people how they can live theirs that shadowy PAC money will trickle down.

She used the ‘no homo’ loophole.

[–] cobwoms@lemmy.blahaj.zone 110 points 10 months ago (2 children)

i haven't even been able to find the first one yet

[–] Deceptichum@kbin.social 84 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (2 children)

Good and let's hope it stays that way, because the rape victim filmed without consent is also one of the people in that video.

[–] cobwoms@lemmy.blahaj.zone 47 points 10 months ago

gross ok. i'll watch something else

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 15 points 10 months ago (1 children)

And even if there was no rape victim in the video, there's an internet full of porn out there and there's probably already something you'll accept as masturbatory material that was meant for the general adult population.

Commenting just in case there's an update to this breaking news story

[–] RotaryKeyboard@lemmy.sdf.org 78 points 10 months ago (1 children)

The embedded video of Zander Moricz is so good! Click the link and go watch it. If the first line doesn't sell you, nothing will:

"Bridget, our first interaction was when you retweeted a hate article about me from The Nationalist while I was a Sarasota County School student."

Hell of a way to open a comment!

[–] infinitevalence@discuss.online 26 points 10 months ago

If I ever do something dumb that requires this type of public hearing please make sure this kid is the one doing the public roasting.

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 70 points 10 months ago (3 children)

The hypocrisy of the GOP is stunningly not stunning.

[–] bedrooms@kbin.social 23 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (1 children)

I don't like stereotyping, but they're consistently like... not only projection but worse.

And they say the same about us in r/conservative... Holy hell.

Gaslight Obstruct Project. It's a whole platform of deception.

Like she didn't see this cumming.

[–] cosmicrookie@lemmy.world 64 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (2 children)

Why is police looking into this though?

Ah.. It's in the article. They found it in her husband's phone as he's being investigated for rape

In late November, a woman alleged that Christian Ziegler went to her apartment and raped her after his wife bowed out of a scheduled get-together.

[–] Melatonin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 18 points 10 months ago (4 children)

Did she commit a crime that's her private life is being exposed? I know her husband is a rapist, but why are these videos being released?

Yes, she's a hypocrite, but what about her privacy? Her rights? That's YOUR privacy and YOUR rights too.

[–] ikidd@lemmy.world 14 points 10 months ago

I think she's being accused of sexual assault by one of these women, so it's on the playing field now.

Here another great read and some back grounds of the situation, just in case anyone isn't clued up https://www.vanityfair.com/news/christian-ziegler-bridget-ziegler-rape-accusation-scandal

[–] Botzo@lemmy.world 14 points 10 months ago

It has always been "Moms for Libertines". They just get confused by words.

[–] GroundedGator@lemmy.world 8 points 10 months ago

I think this former Sarasota county student said it best. https://youtu.be/yq4LMi5-C6o?si=eLUXLIJ92QrnCQQR

Really her hypocrisy is just laughable and no one should care or be involved with anyone else's bedroom activities.

She is pushing her hateful and hurtful agenda in Sarasota county public schools. Meanwhile, she sends her kids to private school.

I'm a bit split on this the more I think about it. Her private life doesn't need to be put on blast, she's a horrible enough person without putting her hypocrisy in the spotlight. However, it is her piousness that she flaunts as her guiding principle to negatively affect and control the lives of others. So can they actually be separated.

And as an aside Zander Moricz, the kid from the video gives me hope and his graduation speech is well worth a watch. https://youtu.be/qpTVyozS7M0?si=ZSGIpcO8m8VPe6Ud

[–] kemsat@lemmy.world 7 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Are they going to be released?
