Get ready for a bunch of unskilled people making the shittiest apps imaginable.

And I wonder how easy it will be to get Claude to create malware with just a few prompts...

The whiny little bitch is afraid of the cold.

Diamond Comics Distributors, one of the biggest companies involved in getting graphic novels into physical retailers for purchase, is filing for bankruptcy and scaling its business back as the industry braces itself for a new wave of economic challenges.

What would you do if you were a white male with billions of dollars and seemingly a lot of extra time on your hands? If you answered anything other than “destroy a social media app and buy a U.S. election” or “go on a podcast to complain about companies not being man enough,” then you’d be wrong! Sorry!

On Friday, Joe Rogan released his latest podcast episode featuring Mark Zuckerberg, the billionaire founder of Facebook, now Meta, who’s recently made a somewhat whiplash-inducing pivot from being a vocal critic of Trump to becoming another ass-kissing sycophant. In their nearly three-hour interview, Zuckerberg talked to Rogan about his passion for hunting invasive pigs in Hawaii and complained about how companies just aren’t masculine enough anymore.

“Masculine energy I think is good, and obviously society has plenty of that, but I think that corporate culture was really trying to get away from it,” Zuckerberg said. “It’s like you want feminine energy, you want masculine energy. I think that that’s all good. But I do think the corporate culture sort of had swung toward being this somewhat more neutered thing.” Must be hard to be one of the top five richest people in the world and still be a whiny little bitch.

People lost every photo they have of their parents.

People lost every precious thing from their childhood and every family heirloom.

Some people lost their lives.

This guy lost some paintings and gets a NY Times article for it.

With what he knows? They would interrogate the fuck out of him and keep him under constant surveillance.

Very sad to hear it. The dirtiest comedian on Who's Line is it Anyway? and part of the terrific ensemble in the wonderful film Peter's Friends. I hadn't heard about him in a while. 65 is far too young.

How do you guarantee you're picking the lock of an empty apartment or house? Who gets to decide who gets to occupy which home? What if three families all want to live in the same empty house? Do they fight it out? It's really not that simple.

Nice! Having the free 3D printer access has been really useful for us on more than one occasion. We have no need to purchase one, but maybe once every six months, we might need to replace a part to something we can just 3D print and it's been great.

Most people are honest people. Especially people who use libraries. It's just not a big problem as far as I know.

Also, if you're going to a library to get a book, you probably don't want to keep the book.

Which Middle Eastern ethnostate?

(Yes, I know you mean Israel, but people like you don't even consider the fact that literally every state in the Middle East is an ethnostate because you have to be a Jew to run Israel and a Muslim to run all the others.)

If Europe participates in American politics, they sure have done a shitass job of it. I wish America was more like Europe.

They do. But basically it triggers a series of nagging emails which eventually result in a final one saying that you either return the book or pay for the book if you wish to continue using library services. If I remember correctly, that takes about nine months. And they don't charge some outrageous price for the book either, they just charge what it would cost to replace it. They might not even do that because they might not actually want to replace it, but my wife has never actually told me that. I imagine that's the case though because they're constantly weeding out books that no one has taken a look at in 20 years in order to make room for new books.

200 fewer perpetrators of genocide is still a good thing. One less IDF soldier willing to kill lowers the potential number of people killed significantly, because one man with an automatic weapon can kill a lot of people with no weapons at all.

Not recording history risks repeating previous mistakes a lot more than recording it. And you record as much as possible because you have no idea what might be important in the future or why. Even something as trivial as this.

Such a baby.

Warning, this story is really horrific and will be heartbreaking for any fans of his, but Neil Gaiman is a sadistic [not in the BDSM sense] sexual predator with a predilection for very young women.
