a net negative for Signal users some of which will have to install WhatsApp since they won't be able to afford not to have those conversations.

They interviewed her because she wrote about generative ai experiments she conducted with Gary Marcus, an AI researcher who they quote earlier in the piece, specifically about AI’s regurgitation issue. They link to it in the article.

It’s not (or shouldn’t be) about attacking her sexuality but highlighting the hypocrisy of her position. Sex sells but in principle it’s the same as if she started a group devoted to outlawing tiktok as immoral and then had her tiktok account exposed

What’ll be interesting is when people start asking, “write a song in the style of Marvin Gaye” given the ruling against Robin Thicke a few years back, since that was about the style of the song hedging too closely to Gaye’s output (edit for clarity)
