I'm clearly out of touch with the world. Over half of these got an audible groan out of me when I watched the trailers.

Yeah, 7 8 9 and 10 all look like almost certain trash lmao

Leaving out 6 that has had at least 4 confirmed reshoots and multiple terrible test screenings?

Didn't hear about it, not shocked though. I'm just a fan of that actor

Those are all skips, except for 28 Years Later

[–] Dyskolos@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago

Totally. Yet I do have set my expectations to practically zero.

I’m surprised so many people in this thread are not excited about James Gun’s Superman. I like most things he’s done, and this being the start of his DC universe is at least very interesting.

yeah 28 Years Later I could see potential with. the rest I'm kinda.... meh.

Although there have been titles that surprised me the last few years. Puss in boots 2 in particular. I expected nothing from that and found an amazing gem.

Personally I also look forward to Mission Impossible but also hope it’s truly the final one (it probably won’t be).

There is zero original content in this list so yeah, zero anticipation. Did a marketing sphincter write this list?

Lot of really new and original IPs in there. It’s good to see creativity flourish.

[–] rickyrigatoni@lemm.ee 9 points 2 days ago

I anticipate the next fantastic four movie to be garbage like usual.

Mission Impossible: One More Botox Shot

They all look terrible.

[–] Krauerking@lemy.lol 9 points 2 days ago

"anticipated" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there. Heck I didn't even remember Snow White until I saw this.

Why. Just why. How to Train Your Dragon was a perfect trilogy. (I know the answer is πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°, but still).

I'm not sure Gerald Butler will even save it.

[–] dukeofdummies@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago

Oh god it's a live action remake??? This is depressing.

[–] Annoyed_Crabby@monyet.cc 4 points 2 days ago

I hate 28 weeks later, here's hoping 28 years later will be good.

Also am unironically anticipating Minecraft, latest trailer did more justice than the teaser.

Four first steps? That doesn't even make sense. Only one can be the first. And I doubt the steps are really fantastic if they can't even figure out which is actually first.

[–] s1ndr0m3@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

My nephew just took his first steps the other day. The lazy bum only got through two and a half steps before giving in to gravity. NOT fantastic.
