How expensive is fent actually compared to say coke?

[–] YarHarSuperstar@lemmy.world 9 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

Cheaper by a lot usually

Edit for clarity: this is strictly speaking on non pharma stuff.

Old classic, still easily quotable to help align brainwave to prime telepathy synchronization (aka having other friends remeber the joke)

So far! no-one has ever died from loaded halloween candy. (The few incidents have all been inside jobs, like a parent poisoning their own kid).

The fentanyl candy scare came from brightly colored Oxy tabs that looked like packed-powder candy such as Sweetarts. It was a non-issue, but made for a scare piece to frighten conservative people who believe in teen rainbow parties.

Was that party not real? Man I must've been on a lot of drugs to hallucinate that

None of the girls were willing to be the one that wore green lipstick.

Can... Is there an explanation?

[–] GluWu@lemm.ee 50 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Fentanyl is part of a complete breakfast

[–] terraborra@lemmy.nz 15 points 6 days ago

It’s also gluten free!

The original is a boomer humour comic complaining about PM10 pollution from cars and all the allergies it gives kids. The message of the comic is that we should invest in public transit and walkability to reduce car pollution.

I'd also very much like someone to explain what this is

[–] yetAnotherUser@discuss.tchncs.de 35 points 6 days ago (1 children)

It's making fun of Americans who believe that children who go trick or treating are getting candy laced with fentanyl.

[–] SubArcticTundra@lemmy.ml 6 points 6 days ago (2 children)

Wouldn't it kill them instantly as it'd be their first exposure?

[–] Swedneck@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 4 days ago

how do you imagine anyone would survive it if this was how things worked?

[–] kn33@lemmy.world 12 points 6 days ago

As with all things - the poison is in the dose (and delivery). It would depend how much fentanyl is added to how much candy, and how much candy the kid eats. Also how old and how large the kid is.

[–] itslilith@lemmy.blahaj.zone 53 points 6 days ago (1 children)

The original is a boomer cartoon about food allergies/preferences

This version is making fun of a weird scare going on with people claiming that folk are lacing Halloween candy with drugs

[–] julianh@lemm.ee 47 points 6 days ago

I can't stand the woke mob catering to people's allergies. Back in my day we would just suck it up and die.
