I have no idea what you're trying to say.

But it's sad to see someone act like this on a mod account. You're setting a horrible example for other users.

Gee...

I wonder why starving victims of an ongoing genocide who gets a fraction of the aid they need to feed everyone is panicking...

I can't imagine the complete lack of empathy required to write a headline where you call those poor souls "looters".

Like, I get why the favor the wealthy, the largest shareholder of the Times is the world's second richest person.

But I don't know why they have such a vested interest in using loaded language to always make people view Palestinians negatively and ignore Israel has caused the vast majority of international incidents in the Middle East since England created it.

One of the ways US fossil fuel use is down but production is record breaking is it's US coal being burnt in India.

This particulate pollution from small scale coal use is obviously horrible locally, but it doesn't just stay there

I remember an article a while ago that said a lot of the particulate is landing on icebergs all the way at the poles. Because soot is dark, it warms up even faster than the iceberg and increases the speed it melts. So even when it's out of the atmosphere, it's still causing damage.

I wish we could do something about it, but regardless of party, every incoming admin keeps breaking the prior admin's fossil fuel production limits.

Can I mod /fantheories?

The only mod created it a year ago, made a single post there, and hasn't made a comment/post anywhere in over four months.

They mod about 50 communities, all of them seem to be ghost towns the account was just squatting on.

So not sure if you just want to delete those so when someone wants to create it they can.

There's no better time to communicate to the DNC that 2016 and 2024 is a fault of their strategy and not voters, and that despite how much they want to pretend 2020 was different, Biden won in spite of himself.

Don't let them go back into hiding and re-emerge again in 3 years with another go-go 80s Reaganite just for Boneitis to show up a month before the election.

We need to actually plan ahead, trump's been campaigning for a fucking decade straight. And in 3 years the DNC will say there's no good picks so we all have to rally around what we dont want.

“I was told Elon is going to be very involved in this,” Jones said during a live broadcast on X. After Infowars was seized and the site shut down, Jones promptly began operating under the name and branding of a new venture, dubbed the Alex Jones Network, which streams on X.

That's the reason, they're using the media and courts as advertising to get it out there.

The sale will go thru and they'll both make a big show about "the only place for the truth is X!"

Because everyone literally does forget about Truth Social till someone mentions it

What do you expect the leaders of the DNC to do?

If they don't rig the primary so a neoliberal will win, then they risk a progressive running, flipping a bunch of red states like Obama in 08, and then they get to set the DNC leadership and party direction.

Which means the current neoliberals with a stranglehold on the party would lose their positions.

They won't get as lucky again as 08 when Obama just ignored them.

DNC leadership care more about themselves then voters or the country.

The only other explanation is because they current just go with whoever can bundle the most money to determine leadership...

Corporations and billionaires are donating to the Dem party along with the Republican party thru the absolute stupidest fundraisers they can find to make voters hate the DNC....

And I just don't think they're that smart.

But the only way the people who pick the next round of DNC leaders isn't the current round of DNC leaders, is when a Dem wins the general.

Which is why even when we do get an ineffectual moderate in, nothing fucking changes because to thank the DNC for getting them to the general, they maintain leadership.

Literally the only way shit gets better is a progressive president

Fuck DWS, she's a big reason we're in this fucking mess...

They make universal flappers now that are actually universal.

And most arms are extendable and can have angle adjusted multiple ways, so basically universal.

If you replace anything else, you might as well change all the internals at once with a set

You forget why trump is even a thing in national politics...

In 2015 when the primaries happened Hillary's campaign controlled the DNC and pushed for trump because he was the worst possible opponent and they thought it would scare people into voting for Hillary despite her being wildly unpopular.

They're 1 out of 3, but the DNC leadership loves trump because he lets them run even less popular moderates and take bribes from even worse industries/billionaires while still having a 33% chance of winning.

To them, it's a smart bet.

Which is why we shouldn't let them anywhere near the DNC.

They could have easily beat trump, but the want the awful "compromises" they say they have to do to win elections. It's why they keep saying it despite it never helping

But compare this post to when they're mad about Anti-Jewish picks:

https://www.timesofisrael.com/trumps-ag-pick-called-adl-racist-invited-holocaust-denier-to-state-of-the-union/

No shade at any Jewish voters who voted for trump strangely...

How does that make any sense compared to moderates going to the Republican party?

Like, the current Dems are "progressives" who want what every other 1st world country got decades ago, and "moderates" who want what Republicans wanted decades ago...

Why are the "moderates" trying to moderate the Dem party instead of the one that's so far from center they're openly fascist?

If they had stayed where they were in the 80s, then the furthest right we'd have been in 2024 was Kamala

Do you understand how ridiculous it is to say everyone to the left of them should go R?

Absolutely best case scenario we end up with two modern Dem parties and that fixes nothing.

But if the moderates go to the Republican party?

They'd get what they want, they can be pro-fracking. They can be for genocide, they can be for politicians using insider knowledge to make millions off the stock market, they can be for the end of political donations regulations.

And have total party unity on all those topics, while moderating the Republicans so they run McCains instead of trumps.

But that's hard.

And moderates have never been fighters.

The only way they'll go moderate Republicans, is if Dems kick them the fuck out of running the party.

They did it in 08, they'll do it again if we get a progressive to the general. It's not a problem either because we'll gain waaaaay more votes than we lose.

Can't blame this on trump...

This is 100% on the people Biden appointed to his admin just not having it in them to fight.

Not everyone has it, that's fine, human variation is normal.

But we can't afford to keep putting cowards in position of power. We need someone that will actually try to enforce the law.

The reason it fits this sub, is they already knew this guy was an extremist committing crimes 2 years, long before he started shooting up Dem offices.

The cops just felt it wasnt in the interest of their personal safety to stop him, which lead to him escalating his crimes over the years.

Despite evidence pointing to Kelly as the perpetrator, Weich said law enforcement did not move to arrest him. Weich said that Phoenix police feared that approaching Kelly would pose a threat to their safety. A prosecutor out of the Phoenix City Attorney’s Office declined to pursue charges, Weich said.

Which lead to this:

Kelly was arrested about 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday during a traffic stop. Kelly's attorney Squires said his vehicle was stopped using a grappler that hooked the car from behind. "That is quite shocking to a person who's never had any previous allegations at all," Squires said in court.

Squires said in court the car was then surrounded by more than a dozen law enforcement personnel.

The prosecutor said Kelly had numerous guns in his car, including a machine gun. He did not have his cellphone. Similarly, no cellphone was tracked behind during the shootings at the Democratic office, the prosecutor said. That led authorities to believe he was on his way to "potentially do something," the prosecutor said.

Arkansas voters won’t get to weigh in on a ballot initiative to expand medical marijuana after the state Supreme Court ruled the measure didn’t fully explain what it would do, tossing out the initiative just two weeks before the election.

It’s too late to remove the measure from the ballot — early voting began Monday — so the court has ordered election officials not to count any votes cast on it. The proposed constitutional amendment would have broadened the definition of medical professionals who can certify patients for medical cannabis, expanded qualifying conditions and made medical cannabis cards valid for three years.
