Context: Blizzard Entertainment has put in their shop a "charity bundle" for Ukraine. I haven't looked that deeply into it but my thoughts are it's promoted by Mila Kunis (liberal celebrity) and probably funnels money to the corrupt Ukrainian regime.

While helping the Ukrainian people is obviously not wrong, this company also chose to cut off the Russian people from their services, basically pointing a gun at them and telling them they can only have their treats back when they overthrow their government. So if the Russian people are to be held to account for the alleged problems of their government and collectively punished, why not the Ukrainian people? Seems hypocritical and it is predicated on the denial of Nazism and the fascism of the Ukraine regime.

I checked briefly. Looks like it's going to BlueCheck Ukraine, a charity created last year by another actor to "fast track money to charities". Could totally do legitimate work, but a charity that exists solely to funnel money to other charities as quickly as possible sets off a few red flags for me.

Not to mention the totally legitimate concern that any money collected for humantarian aid (itself a good thing) could just get co-opted by the government. I would sooner directly support humantarian causes that are explicitly delivering goods that could only be useful to the displaced civilians.

yea being punished for something you have no control over sucks ass and I don't blame Russian gamers for pirating everything they can. Thankfully modern day Blizzard seems allergic to putting out good games so I'm not tempted to play them lol

Probably because Ukraine didn't start a war, but I get what you're saying. Just because they didn't start it, doesn't give NATO a free pass to do whatever the fuck they want. There is no reason making an allied country (Ukraine) less free helps anyone but rich assholes who profit off of war spoils.

EDIT: To anyone who downvoted me, I didn't realize these assholes weren't arguing in good faith. Clearly they know nothing at all about what was going on or are spereading propafganda. Thinking for yourself doesn't mean believing the unpopular opinion and I apologize for letting these idiots momentarily misinform me. As they say, however, fool me twice...

They did start the war in 2014, Russia just brought it out into the open and punished them. Ukraine was shelling Donbass and other break-away regions (killing civilians), allowing Nazi militias to operate with impunity and Russia claims they were amassing troops for a big push there. They discriminated against Russian speakers, persecuted Russians, indoctrinated their civilians with Nazi ideology and revered fascists. They did not abide by the Minsk Protocols they agreed to and it has been admitted by Angela Merkel that those were a deception from the start to buy time for Ukraine to build a military to challenge Russia. They also moved to join NATO, an offensive fascist organization that invades, destabilizes countries and is explicitly anti-Russian.

Please look up who the first secretary general of NATO was. Specifically what his old job was (hint: it was being a Nazi). America filled west German government with ‘former’ Nazis, they filled NATO with ‘former’ Nazis.

It is not at all a stretch to call it the Nazi Arming and Training Organization as that’s what it did. It was formed as explicitly anti-Soviet, anti-Russian organization. When one understands all the little connections, Gladio, rat-lines, terrorist actions in East Berlin, etc, it becomes quite clear what they are.

Now maybe I’m a little fast and loose with banter here I grant you that. Fascism technically could be understood as a phenomenon of Europe in the early-mid 20th century. It is after all in many ways nothing more then colonialism turned on white people. Sure it also occurred because capitalism was in distress and the bourgeoisie conjured it up against the reds and liberals saw it as preferable to communism.

Let’s just call NATO ontologically evil, vile, an enemy of the working class, freedom, humanity. The tool of an oppressive empire that violates human rights, sews terror, acts morally righteous while being nothing but a force for suffering and keeping humanity in chains.

I can tell that you are intentionally simplifying the matter, so I’m probably just stating the obvious, but I really feel like mentioning that substantial numbers of Fascism’s victims were not white: East Africans (e.g. Ethiopians), North Africans (e.g. Libyans), African‐Europeans, Roma, Sinti, and more.

Sure it also occurred because capitalism was in distress and the bourgeoisie conjured it up against the reds and liberals saw it as preferable to communism.

While it is true that both Germany and Italy had substantial communist movements which the Fascists destroyed, revolution was unlikely. Capitalism was indeed in distress, though.

I agree with everything else that you said.
