Mitch realizes that conservative Republicans have lost their party to MAGA.

I know they do it intentionally to water down the meaning of the words, but if I didn't know better, I would think these people were so fucking stupid that they just repeat whatever word they've recently heard used in a negative context.
Also, the lies and projection in that article are too egregious for me to get through the whole thing.
Edit: bad voice to text
He does more then shit his diaper on stage?
American politics looks like a fucking hospice.
"Two of the three candidates hate Trump and what he ran on. One of them, John Cornyn, is an angry liberal whose politics are indistinguishable from Liz Cheney’s. The election is Wednesday, it’s by secret ballot, and it will determine whether or not the new administration succeeds."
Vote is Nov 13, arranged a month ago which Laura Loomer thinks this was the plan all along.
Describing Cornyn as a liberal is absolutely absurd
You missed the Cheney part.
They are intentionally labelling anything not maga/nazi as liberal.
Everything's a goddamn coup with these people.
Scheduling legislative leadership elections at an allowed time is a coup against a guy who is currently not in office?
K.
Ya, I think I have to do some researching into how to block those fake click-bait news :-/
Except January 6th, apparently
The goal is to use the word coup often so that the word loses its punch, that way when an actual coup happens people will just shrug when it's reported and think it's just a minor occurrence.
It's only a coup if it's against them. If they're orchestrating ir, it's "being patriotic."
I assume holding the vote early is so incoming MAGA senators don't get a say.
It's so he can set some terms such as blind ballots, which really helps republicans align with democrats in choosing without fear of retaliation and that's why they're all losing their minds over this. Tucker Carlson is screaming at people to call their senators and demand that they back Rick Scott because now they have no control over how any republican chooses to vote.
So hopefully Mitch succeeds in turning the government into a total do-nothing circus despite Trump possibly controlling the supreme court and all three branches of the government. GOP might fucking implode like the Whigs finally, MAGA spending all their time and energy trying to unseat traditional republicans, that deal
You know the times are dire when you find yourself rooting for Moscow Mitch.
No kidding, I had a brief moment where I hated him slightly less but then I remembered all the tangible harm he has done and it went away.
Please don't. Mitch is just as awful but with a tiny bit of intelligence making him dangerous.
I'm not. The turtle is ruthless and smart and would limit the insanity. Nah, let the people have what they want.
We thought that the insanity would eventually make Trump and MAGA candidates unelectable. That hasn't happened yet, so I'm not sure if limiting it really matters.
Yup. Americans are to stupid or racist or misogynist or whatever to actually learn. I think Americans need to finally feel the dildo of consequences that rarely comes lubed fully to maybe finally learn.
Please be advised, this is an article about a Tucker Carlson segment which doesn't provide any additional info or context of its own
Tucker is telling MAGA that any non-MAGA republican is a fake RINO and can't be trusted.
Only those that Trump says are loyal, are actually loyal. Everyone else is sus.
I saw some professor online, saying that the first victims of fascists are the true believers of the party they grew out of, and to watch for that happening with the Republicans.
I have a suspicion that he's not going to pardon anyone who participated in Jan 6.
They failed, and he hates that.
You mean like when the neocons got purged for not being loyal enough?
Oh man, it sounds like the fascist out group just keeps growing.
Ideally, the in-group is eventually reduced to only the leader himself, with even his closest advisors constantly backstabbing each other over his favor.
Cause they are the greatest threat to his throne.
I’ll believe it when I see it. McConnell is a cold warrior and a Reagan Republican at heart, but he’s also soulless and evil like the rest of them.
Does some part of him still give a shit about his country? I find it hard to believe.
A big part of Project 2025 is eliminating checks and balances, and consolidating power into the Whitehouse. That means taking power away from the house and senate, and from McConnell.
That means taking power away from the house and senate, and from McConnell.
Ah there it is. It's not about saving the USA, it's about him losing power.
If he gave a shit about the country, he would have voted to convict Trump back in 2021.
Does some part of him still give a shit about his country?
I doubt it. This is probably for selfish reasons.
Wasn't he on the record criticizing Trump over j6 at some point? Might not have actually done anything about it, but that's probably incentive to at least want to avoid letting Trump go full dictator, lest he eventually find himself targeted for past disloyalty
He was against impeachment and banning Trump from future office, because he was out of office and it was up to the justice department.
Well Mitch, the hen has come back to roost.
Huh.
I've been sort of idly wondering who was going to be the first "enemy" politician the Trump regime was going to kill.
I'd say McConnell just became the odds-on favorite.
Extremists in politics are like people with an automatic machine gun and they're always uncontrollably firing at perceived enemies .... once they bring someone down ... they keep firing, turn around and start shooting at someone else .. and on and on and on ... they always see enemies ... once they eliminate someone, they move on to the next until eventually they start shooting at you.
no honor among grifters
They'll kiss Trump's ass in time, this is just a false alarm.
There's nothing to be gained from platforming fascists like cucker.
This made me think about a possible third term for Trump, this is without changing the rules.
Trump completes his next term, then campaigns again, this time for vice president, with a puppet as a running mate.
The puppet will, shortly after taking office, declare to step down for health reasons and Trump will be president again.
There is as far as I know, no rule preventing this.
Also known as the Medwedew move. But I doubt Trump will manage one full term, let alone two.
The Vice President must be eligible to be president. Obama is not eligible for the VP position.
Representative Trump could make it work though.
The reality, however, is that they'll just ignore the Constitution.
Huh, I did not know that, thanks!
You can’t be vice president if you’re not eligible to be president, it’s in the constitution. 12th amendment.
The Supreme Court will rule that nobody has standing to bring a challenge based on the 12th Amendment. Kind of like what they did to the Emoluments Clause.
