I get this, but probably the best way to feel safer is to forge local connections. Check on your neighbors, they'll check on you
Unfortunately, many neighbors in the US have decided to take it upon themselves to install a fascist dictator as the head of our government.
In fact, the only way that many of those neighbors will "check in" on their neighbors is through a scope.
My district voted 86% for Trump to 14% for Harris.
I have no neighbors. Just people who will report me to the secret police in the future.

I don't think you'll want to trust the news much longer. Not coming out of the US, at least.
Don't worry about that. We pay a few of our own journalists to live in the US and report the news. I occasionally read or watch both the European and unfiltered American reporting and they're not alike. I think we still get a picture resembling something close to the truth. At least generally speaking.
Like I'm saying you need someone to go into the camps, which they won't have clearance, and look for the mass graves.
Hmmh, that's usually postponed until after a war is over. At least to gather the exact numbers. But the other side isn't going to conceal it. They're going to brag about it. So we'll know anyways.
