I'll never stop being cynically amused by the fact that the self-styled American patriots are letting the Russian government tell them how to vote.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 45 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

You're talking about these people.

[–] Alwaysnownevernotme@lemmy.world 10 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Are these the tankies everyone's always talking about?

[–] FundMECFSResearch@lemmy.blahaj.zone 17 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (1 children)

The tankies are the “left-wing” equivalent of these people. All in all they are eerily similar. They both support different forms of facism.

[–] dalekcaan@lemm.ee 2 points 3 weeks ago

Or the same form, with a different coat of paint.

[–] PugJesus@lemmy.world 32 points 3 weeks ago

Because they love the Russian government. It looks just like their ideal government, just Protestant and English-speaking instead of Orthodox and Russian-speaking.

[–] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 19 points 3 weeks ago

I guess the anything in 'anything to own the libs' includes selling out your country and constitution to the highest bidder.

Some people never learn the cool kid in school seldom acts on your behalf, usually theirs.

[–] CrayonMaster@midwest.social 34 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

sigh this is going to be a shitty couple weeks isn't it?

[–] MegaUltraChicken@lemmy.world 23 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Couple weeks? That's cute. This shit is going until inauguration day at least.

[–] Duamerthrax@lemmy.world 5 points 3 weeks ago

At least until he crooks, then they'll try to make him a martyr. Expect a manufactured Regan style legacy.

[–] Paddzr@lemmy.world 4 points 3 weeks ago

This could be minimum of 4 years of hell.

[–] ptz@dubvee.org 28 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

I looked over at Pikachu for a reaction, but he's just so tired.

[–] CheeryLBottom@lemmy.world 3 points 3 weeks ago

I'm with Pikachu

[–] Dasus@lemmy.world 24 points 3 weeks ago (27 children)

Try to go and post this on Lemmy.ml

@davel@lemmy.ml is adamant Russian propaganda and misinformation Don't exist. I wonder who would argue such a thing?

[–] TexMexBazooka@lemm.ee 13 points 3 weeks ago

Ah he doesn’t argue as much when he can’t ban people for disagreeing with his nonsense

[–] Iheartcheese@lemmy.world 0 points 3 weeks ago

So this is basically the point of federation isn't it? So there can always be 'bad guy' instances that we never stop talking about? PvP social media?

How does a video of Haitian immigrants voting illegally versus legally look different? Are they wearing signs or maybe one of those "Hi! My name is..." stickers with "Illegally Voting Haitian Immigrant" written in? Or maybe it's just obvious because they present passports written on the back of cereal boxes and the election worker is giving big comic winks and saying "sign here US citizen legally allowed to vote." I guess it doesn't matter what the video shows. It's probably some Bigfoot jerky video with garbled audio with a caption saying "Haitian immigrants voting illegally."

[–] bitchkat@lemmy.world 5 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I'm pretty sure the Haitans in the photo are not voting. I've never gotten gas station quality hot food when I've voted.

[–] modus@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

You need to find a better voting location. Mine has churros and Mt Dew.

[–] bitchkat@lemmy.world 1 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

Nice. There's never a line so it's not a big deal. And it's not like you can choose anyways (election day)

[–] GiddyGap@lemm.ee 3 points 3 weeks ago

It doesn't matter. The intended audience has already decided that they want to believe Trump and immigrants are bad and they vote illegally.

[–] Backlog3231@reddthat.com 2 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (1 children)

Step 1. Record any random black person voting.
Step 2. Immediately label them an illegal Haitian.
Step 3. Disseminate to every conservative outlet.

[–] NotMyOldRedditName@lemmy.world 3 points 3 weeks ago

Bonus points if there's a pet in the picture and you say they ate it that night.

[–] RangerJosie@lemmy.world 9 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Is there a /noshitsherlock community yet?

Illegal Immigrants cannot vote. No matter how much chuds want it to be true it just isnt. Hell we lock up natural born citizens for voting at the wrong fking location when they're fully legal to vote. Our shit is stupidly hard locked down.

I'm of the opinion that we should have switched to all digital a decade ago. Fuck it. Lets see those results in real time. But that would require our leaders to have enough modern knowledge about computing systems to be able to understand the basics of whats going on. These fkin' clowns are all "DoeS tHE TikToK coNnEct t0 mY wIfi?" Like yeah Harold I'm sure you could shoe a horse like a mfer back during the civil war, now find your downloads folder for me.

[–] AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I can still shoe a horse, and I'm almost always the tech support in the house.....

[–] RangerJosie@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

And I can rebuild carburators. Meant no disrespect to the equine enjoyers in our midst. Was simply using it as an example.

[–] AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago

No worries!

When do we finally decide that this hostile enemy action and act accordingly? Why do we not have our own army of internet warriors?

[–] humble_pete_digger@lemm.ee 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Us been doing this for decades

Reddit posted their own site metrics showing much of the traffic came from a US army base. It's a US propaganda outlet.
