I like how this patch was allegedly made by Taiwan's military but is in english and has an American meme on it.

NAFO and the Ukrainian flag's are already in the comments mindlessly showing their totally not artificial support. A lot of pledges to buy a boatload of these dumb things.

A BB to a freight train.

Literally, only westerners care about this.

Gotta give serious credit to China for staying laser focused on doing what is best at the right time and not letting these brats provoke them into acting rash.

Oh my fuck. How ridiculous

Taiwan's military would lose that war within 30 minutes. And how do they not see how messed up it is to use a foreign language, especially one used by countries that caused so much suffering and devastation to the Chinese people, on their own military patches.

Taiwan is not Ukraine, if China seriously decides to move in they will take the island. So I'm not entirely sure what our plan even is if that happens.

Most likely they'll leave the severely weakened ROC troops bear the brunt while Tsai and her clique attempt to escape to Japan and subsequently somewhere else afterwards to establish a 'government in exile'.

Strangely enough the DPP had consistently weakened them compared to the old KMT which at one point posed a credible threat to re-invade during the cultural revolution era...

Honestly I doubt they will have the chance to flee. I feel China would take precautions to prevent their "government" to escape again and continue this charade. They can have fighters over Taiwan in what? Under 30 minutes? If China goes all in on this then I hope the go ALL in and just shoot down anything Tiawan put into the air or sea.

Not to mention intelligence/counterintelligence

Unless they escape preemptively. I.e. bolsonaro, Poroshenko, Merkel

It's hard to make sense of. But there are still two main options, socialism or barbarism. And we know the US isn't going to willingly turn socialist.

https://www.ysnp.gov.tw/En/StaticPage/ScienceEn "taiwan black bear is considered an endangered wild animal..." of course it is...

[–] KrupskayaPraxis@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It's funny they have an animal as a national pride that they are not even trying to protect.

[–] commiewolf@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Unfortunately this sort of thing is not uncommon. Even in China, the national animal is the Panda, and they are becoming endangered too, despite efforts to protect them.

[–] halfie@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 years ago

Didn't china save the panda? I heard they left the critically endangered category a few years ago

Here's a bbc article "how did china save the panda?"

[–] KrupskayaPraxis@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Aren't Pandabears in the wild rising in numbers again?

[–] PolandIsAStateOfMind@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Yes, they are still very endangered but the numbers grown steadily over the years and if such efforts continue, they will be saved.

"Surrenders the second they see the PLA closing in."

Also that shit looks photoshopped or just stickied on. Like it's overlapping the seams on his shirt and the wrinkles in the fabric don't stop or go around the patch.

Running dogs of the paper tiger.
