I don't use deodeorant, I use a generic antitranspirant. It prevents sweating but you don't stink of ..whatever the fuck those super artificial "manly" smells are supposed to be.

Antitranspirant? π€£
I went the other way and use non-antiperspirant deodorant, once I learned the anti-perspirant is aluminum flakes that cause an allergic swelling to close up your sweat glands (at least it explained all the glitter stains in the armpits of my shirts).
Oh, curious. They are called "Antitranspirant" in German.
Latin words are almost always 1:1 the same in German and English (modulo suffix) and this appears to be derived from latin too, so I had assumed it'd be the same but, in this specific case, it's not.
TIL
Me too lol
A nice bar of soap. Always cleans better than gels, and has none of the freaky ingredients.
Even with soap I need to look hard for ones without damn foaming agents like SLS (which are literally irritants to skin). But at least you don't have all the plastic waste that shower gels involve. Shampoo and conditioner are available as bars too, for people who use those.
Use a shampoo bar also. Same reason. No plastics.
How many micro particles of plastic do you think are in 1 bottle of shampoo? 1 million? I have no idea, but I'm not going there.
Old Spice.
Both the plain, beautiful blue Fresh variety.
Both feel clean and smell fresh.
I have very sensitive skin.
I will pitch an apoplectic fit if they ever discontinue it.
YOU HEAR ME, OLD SPICE!? NO ONE NEEDS WOLFSBANE OR WHATEVER OTHER SHIT YOUβRE PEDDLING.
B-but... Terry Crews' pecs told me I needed it. Terry Crews' pecs would never lie to me!
Hips donβt lie.
Pecs do.
I just use liquid dr bonners, dude writes some unhinged stuff on his bottles but its nice soap. I usually dont like scented soaps, but i am a fan of the peppermint version.
I dont really care about what antipersperant i use, but i tend to avoid ones marketed as "FOR MEN, CHARCOAL SWEAT AND ALPINE" Etc etc.
The cheapest ones I can find on LIDL.
I use dove bar soap, anything else I've tried makes my skin feel weird.
For deodorant, I use degree.
Woah are you me?
Hello soap and deodorant twin.
There's threes of us
I use different varieties of shower gel from Kneipp mostly. Itβs a German brand. I like the smell and consistency. But I sometimes try out other brands.
Soap: a bar of unscented oatmeal-based soap
For deodorant: I have had very good experience with "Thai stone" style salt-based deodorants. These work simply by making your skin inhospitable to odor-causing bacteria while not causing you irritations. You need to apply it liberally (after slightly wetting the stone, I just count out 8 strokes under each arm), but a single stone will last you ... a very long time ... and it does really work for a whole day. It has no scent, per se, so you will just smell like you smell without the sulfurous bad smells caused by BO bacteria.
Or so I gather...
No judgement, here. In my experience, the latter has led to the widespread use of patchouli by those who believe in salting their pits, and that's not much of a vote of confidence in its efficacy.
I use any clear gel, currently Old Spice. I haven't found a single "normal" deodorant that doesn't leave white shit on my shirts, so clear gel it is.
As for shower gel, I just use a bar of soap. Anything is fine. What you should be really worried about is your shampoo and conditioner. Don't use either of them daily. Don't get that bullshit 2-in-1. Most people use them wrong, too.
Dudes got done dirty in the shower game
Kirkland Citrus body wash and Mitchum unscented antiperspirant.
I'm a sweaty mofo and need the strong stuff.
Soap, generally nice smelling stuff, like those fancy Italian bath soaps in olive/cypress/fig/etc. Shower gel never seems to cut through oil or rinse off sufficiently for my liking, it always feels faintly icky afterwards.
I have to use antiperspirant; I sweat like a freaking horse for no good reason. Generally whatever's on sale, but Brut have a new gender-neutral range that doesn't smell like a high school locker room, which is a nice change.
Actual soap, Lever 2000 boring odor, a bar lasts quite a while even with hard scrubbing. Shower gel is weird and wasteful, you have water right there in the shower.
I have some deodorant thing but it's unscented, just for the antiperspirant.
My ex got me using Etta & Billie soap. Itβs amazing. For deodorant I use Schmidtβs Lavendar and Sage. Iβve tried other things but always come back to this.
Cheapest shower gel I can find, cause none of the smell remains on my body (long and hot showers help against my infuriating back pain better than most painkillers). Nivea roll-on (without Al-salts).
The most girly ones I can find. Anything marketed as "for men" with no actual scent described is a big warning sign to avoid. I imagine they are "Engine oil and Swarfega" or "Sawdust and petrol" or other stereotypical alpha male aromas.
I used to use Irish spring body wash and that was about it. I'm on a whole new level now tho. Spironolactone cuts back on the sweat, estradiol makes what little sweat I have left smell mostly neutral or good. Side effects may include preventing male pattern baldness, loss of muscle, loss of social status, super soft skin, and your dick might stop working.
The menβs section at bath and bodyworks has some great smelling ones that work great and since a little goes a long way a bottle usually lasts me months. Pair that with an exfoliating poofy or whatever itβs called and it does a fantastic job, doesnβt leave a strong scent and does wonders for my skin.
For deodorant I use arm & hammer essentials. Works great, no aluminum parabens or phthalates, isnβt overpowering or super smelly like Old Spice and doesnβt cause any skin reactions.
I use Dr Squatch bar soap, and Old Spice Gentleman's Blend deodorant.
Gel, shampoo, balsam, shaving foam/cream, and roll-on deo from Neutral/Minirisk. Simple, cheap, safe. And the best thing? It doesn't trigger any allergies.
Though, I do use aftershave from Matas, and oil from ecooking.
I think that covers most of my self-care products.
I use a 3 function body/hair/shower gel from german chain dm @ 60ct a bottle. I have a fancier shampoo for when I feel like it.
I use whatever soap The Baroness buys.
Viking Revolution sandalwood beard wash and consitioner.
Old spice aqua reef deodorant.
Antiperspirant with Aluminum Zirconium Tetrachlorohydrex Gly is the only one that works for me. For that I use Dove Clinical soft-solid because the scent is mild and the perforated applicator lets me work it in like lotion without over applying.
It smells like eucalyptus
I don't use shower gel. I'm so hairy, my shampoo is used all over my body. Does the job just fine.
For deodorant, I use Old Spice, the Fiji scented one. I brought my wife to the store and asked her to bring me a deodorant scent that she enjoyed, and this is the one she landed on.
I make sure to use just the deodorant type, not the deodorant/antiperspirant. The antiperspirant stuff sticks to my armpits and clothes, and takes a few days to fully scrub off. I don't sweat enough to bother with it.
I am a basic guy, I just use Head&Shoulders shampoo and Bliw Blueberry soap
Dr. Bronner's liquid soap.
Yup
I refuse to buy water, therefore I use bar soap for my entire body
My body seems happy with the choice
I was a long time user of Old Spice Original, but all the plastic waste got to me. After trying MANY natural brands, I found βNo Pongβ, the stupidest-named, most over-priced product that works great. I use it now.
Soap from Stirling Soapworks. Incredible quality and scents, fair pricing. Goes hand in hand with my wetshaving.
Deodorant/Antiperspirant, Old Spice Timber or Gentleman Jack Cedar.
palmolive
Turbo Wash by Jack Black/Old Spice swagger deoderant
Solid hair soap. I just use the rest for my body lol. Works very fine for me.
For shaving, facial cream and aftershave its way more difficult though. I currently use Moringa face cream but would use anything not weird foam+deodorant. Aftershave not sure. Tea tree oil currently, but I think its not optimal?
