So it will get here with fusion, flying cars, hydrogen cars, and jetpacks?

The thing is, I agree with you about the suffering of animals.

You're just a sanctimonious self important prick trying to flaunt your imagined moral superiority as some kind of bullshit purity test as to whether people care about animals.

Have fun with that, don't stop to wonder why people walk away.

Oh, it's not that at all. You just come off as very holier than thou the way you shove into and escalate the discussion without regard for others, but great job capturing some attention.

It is 100% you bringing your own agenda without regard or consideration for the discussion at hand. You're not trying to add to the discussion by jumping in and championing your cause without reading the room.

Or maybe don't try to shoe horn the issue in as a non-sequitor and take umbrage when called out?

And that's just one example.

The most glaring generator of mistrust for decades now is the thing citizens discuss all the time but is never addressed: our out of control military budget.

We could solve every one of our country's financial issues multiple times over by reducing the military budget, and not even drastically so.

Our military was tasked with an audit to reign in waste and spending. They couldn't pass an audit so they were just given a free pass, no penalties or repercussions. The first audit was 2017 and they failed to pass. They failed two more since then. Senator Sanders intoruduced a bill in 2021 and again in 2023 which required an audit and was supposed to impose penalties for failure, it's been introduced so we'll see how that goes.

I feel like these games don't reflect the number of people being hired for them. I'm not sure it should linearly scale (probably not), but they seem like they scale down rather than up with an increase in staff.

This is what happens when game studios are being run by people that only view video games as a means to generate money. They do not understand the industry or craft involved and will blindly apply whatever the newest MBA management strategy is the new hotness, throw money and headcount at projects. And cannot understand that more is usually not better when it comes to video game development.

Give San Pellegrino a try. Little lime juice and salt for a salted lime soda or lime and mint for a virgin mojito.

And why?

Because we said so.

When I am running away from something to escape danger I do not do so facing the danger and aiming a gun.

I guess you and that cop have a better method of running away from danger that somehow isn't primarily concerned with increasing safety by maximizing distance from the danger?
