Too bad plugin hybrids are not more available. My family uses a 10 year old Chevy Volt as our main vehicle. It gets 38 miles/60km on battery which covers most of our driving. Only longer trips on the weekends or the occasional road trip uses any gas. The dehumidifier I run to keep the basement dry uses more electricity than the car. It does ok in snow with winter tires, as long as the snow isn't too deep. I'm in rural great lakes region in a snow belt.

I noticed the same thing. There is an open issue on the Lemmy backend GitHub about broken federation in the 0.19 release here

Some instances are running older 0.18 versions which don't seem to be affected. Restarting the processes every few hours might help.

Not a command, but you could write some simple scripts to control it. amdgpu thermal docs

I use this to reduce fan noise on my amd laptop with a discrete rx560m when playing games. I had to add a kernel boot parameter to get it working

amdgpu.ppfeaturemask=0xffffffff

At this point, familiarity and nostalgia. In the heyday of IRC it was a good way to get help (or flamed) for questions that couldn't be found anywhere else online. As a former IRC user I've never used matrix and have only heard of it on social media like lemmy.

As a programmer I like IRC because it has a simple protocol. Writing a basic irc bot is pretty easy if your standard library supports sockets and string manipulation. I was doing this sort of thing in the late '00s but things have changed a lot in 15 years.

We sometimes got chopped hotdogs in ours. True love.

It cost near $7k in healthcare costs when my son was born. That's $1750 a year so far...

Yes, it was more the principle than anything. I was terrible at that game and barely played it

I even got a refund from steam when rocket league lost Linux support when that one company bought it

I've got to see this binder. It must be enormous! The largest I see for sale online claim to hold 1000 pages

Probably not. Maybe in small amounts. There's an enormous area we'd have to capture it from. permafrost map
