Don't get me.wrong I really love excel and enjoy spending my days playing with it; but sometimes I'll look at my work in a big picture context and don't understand how I make so much money doing a totally made up thing that serves no practical purpose.

That's what happened to me. I'm overweight myself and my doctor is a wheight expert too and In my case I was able to change my life with depression treatment but also with some hormonal replacement.

You took this to a whole other discussion. Yes there are some people that think fat "should be beautiful" and those people are fooling thenselfs more than the others.

But this is not the majority a neither has been pushed "for years". This began with the woker culture trying to humanize fat people exactly because of how bad people are treated just because they are fat. But I can tell you I don't know any fat person that thinks like that. Like most (not all) very skinny people have some eating disorder, most (not all) obese peoole have some eating disorder, this can be in consequence of depression, addictive personality or even in conquencence of medication that they need

That is why is so important to no judge someone without knowing why they are in this situation.

What am I telling exactly?!

Although it's retired my dream will always be the death star

I say that all the time. People look at an obese person and thinks "that's disgusting you should be ashamed" and the same person will look at an anorexic peeson and think "oh poor girl hope she can recover from her eating disorder"

They are both eating disorders!

Let's try to go pass our biases and see obesity for what it is, a eating disorder, not with disgust or shame.

Edit: I would just like to point out to the dumbdumbs that I am overweight and was obese for a while. I am a witness of how bad people will treat you without even knowing your background or problems that took you there. Not everyone is a suitable candidate for bariatric or ozempic, there are lots of different reasons and only a very small portion is caused by lazyness as toxic people like to call it. I am and will always be an avid defender of humans treating humans like humans and not "lazy fucks".

Edit: Thanks to everyone for the help! Just an update.

Thanks to @nate3d and @IMALlama comments below I calibrated the e-steps that were very under and it improved a lot.

I left the filament on the dryer for 8 hours and tested again with a 20mm /s speed and 220 C print temp and it was better (picture below)

Just to answer you all saying it's a clog or a hot end problem, it's not, the whole hot end, includong nozzle, heat block and everything else, even the PTFE tube are all brand new and I checked before.

This is still the best I could achieve and It took 3 hours to print this benchy lol

‐-------- Hi everyone, I'm once again asking for your help lol Since I’ve tried to print with wood I totally wrecked my printer so I changed the hot end and am trying to set it all up again. Since my printer already came built and working I don’t have much experience with things like this so if you could help me I would be very thankful

What do I need to twerk to make it print better again?

I’m using Cura slicer and trying to print a benchy with the settings below:

Nozzle: 0.4

Layer: 0.2

Printing temp: 220 (it wont print with lower temp)

Speed: 60

Retraction distance: 7

Retraction speed: 70

Edit: PLA

Wood Temp Tower (lemmy.world)
submitted 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) by MissJinx@lemmy.world to c/3dprinting@lemmy.world

This is the temp tower of my wood print experiment Cand even se much difference. It goes from 260 to 190. Below 225 gets really flimsy and above 240 melts. But even 230, the "best" one is really bad, and I'm not talking about retraction. Even the layers that melt are inconsistent.

Also it's not humidity since the filament was in a filament dryer for.16hours.

edit: The nozzle is 0.8

can someone think of anything else?

Didn't even knew there was a shrek book, much less that he had laser-eyes. wtf the book looks better than the movie

"Original Shrek smells so bad that trees lean away from him as he goes by, and he’s so ugly that he can cook food just by glaring at it, with an eye-laser effect that looks exactly like a colored-pencil version of Superman’s heat vision. Shrek also breathes fire and blows smoke out of his ears for fun."

She has 3 different huge cat trees, a cat donut, 2 comfy beds and can sleep anywhere she wants, from couches to our own beds....and I found her sleeping in the dirtiest place in the whole property on top of a cardboard box.

How to meet people (lemmy.world)
submitted 8 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) by MissJinx@lemmy.world to c/asklemmy@lemmy.ml

I'm 41F. I was married but separated 8 years ago. I was still young but was very traumatized and never really wanted another relationship. Lately I've been feeling a little lonely and would like to meet some new people but I moved and don't have many friends here and the ones I have are younger and do younger people things (like going out at night. I'm too old for that lol). I wanted to meet some people my age, friends or dates, but almost everyone is married. I do cooking and French classes but again, only young people do that and I'm the "odd old lady". I think people past 40 don't really have hobbies or money to spend on them. I'm overweight so I can't really use apps, and to be honest don't really want. So how a single woman without kids (can't have it) meet people?! Or do I just give up?! lol

Hello! I bought 30 simple UV leds (those with a big and a small leg, not a single strip). I'm trying to build a UV station to dry my resin but idk how to proceed. I tryed watching some videos but there is a lot of math to build that and I can't do it. I have 30 led lights, 5 resistors of 100 and 5 of 300. I wanted to use AA batteries. Do I need 8 of them?? Its not going to be turned on for long, just some 30 seconds at a time.

Can someone help me?
