Christian conservatives when they see something that slightly deviates from their world view

[–] Enigma@sh.itjust.works 25 points 1 year ago (4 children)

I came here to ask: What do conservatives not freak out about?

[–] Rom@lemm.ee 25 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Children getting gunned down in their schools.

[–] Bonehead@kbin.social 14 points 1 year ago (2 children)

They certainly do freak out about that, since it always leads to questions about gun control.

[–] richieadler@lemmy.myserv.one 10 points 1 year ago (1 children)

But they freak out about the gun control, not the deaths.

[–] RichardBonham@kbin.social 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Kind of like life begins at conception, but once the child is actually born you're on your own.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

Not even once it's born. Have you ever heard them call for free pre-natal care?

Something wrong with the fetus and you can't afford to do anything about it? Fuck both of you, lady.

[–] Rom@lemm.ee 4 points 1 year ago

And they're the ones who always seem to be against it. Or at least only in favor when it comes to minorities and LGBTQ+ folk, who aren't the ones committing the vast majority of mass shootings.

Preachers and youth group leaders sexually assaulting kids.

[–] lenninscjay@lemm.ee 12 points 1 year ago (1 children)

But, but, but… it’s the left who are snowflakes and get offended over everything!!!

[–] RichardBonham@kbin.social 7 points 1 year ago

For these folks, remember that every accusation is actually a confession.

[–] bappity@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

difficult question to answer

[–] Vaggumon@midwest.social 25 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I wonder how they would feel if they actually got persecuted as much as they claim they are? Maybe it's time to bring back some Roman traditions?

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

... so... like, the lions have gone hipster. they only eat free-range organic.

[–] RichardBonham@kbin.social 10 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I remember when my daughter (elementary school age at the time) let all the kids into her dress-up clothes. There were some parents who were less than pleased to see their sons wearing tutus, tiaras, gowns, fairy wings and the like. Honestly, they all looked adorable!

[–] Cruxifux@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Do they think that if a toddler puts on a tutu they become instantly gay or something? Those parents are idiots.

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Do they think that if a toddler puts on a tutu they become instantly gay or something?

yes. they do think that. they also think their god actually cares about what that boy's wearing. (while also simultaneously sexualizing them.)

My dream is that we get christofascists to boycott every single corporation so that they will be forced to live like the Amish and get the fuck off the grid.

Then finally, peace.

Also conservatives:

Because I have young kids who love Sesame Street I know there's a recent episode where the gang attends one member's dress up club which happens to have all of the costumes sorted by gender, and a few of the puppets are unhappy with their options for dressup and ultimately mix and match the outfifs. It's very adorable and teaches a helpful lesson but I imagine the same kind of conservative Christian who gets mad about a boy in a tutu in an ad would have long since banned Sesame Street from their homes

[–] dragonflyteaparty@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

How the hell does a tutu make a boy gay? Do blue overalls make a girl gay? Wtaf. Freaking homophobic snowflakes.

🎶What guys talking about?

The newest, the greatest, Christian freak out!🎶
