Lets remember, that Sanders has done more as an Independent than he ever could have if he joined one of the many 3rd-parties out there.

Also remember- just for an example- Jill Stein has never held any elected or appointed office and has no experience in governance, and the only thing she would be able to do is unite congress. Which would be hella impressive, considering. But she'd do it by uniting congress against her. at best, we'd have 4 years of nothing getting done or changed... though also probably weakened presidential powers. (which could be good.)

FWIW, you can have belief in the afterlife without a belief in some type of deity. For example, some forms of shammanism don't recognize any form of deity, and instead focus on the spirits of ancestors or of the natural world, but not as a divine thing.

I mean.

yeah.

This one is... uhm. yeah.

But I have to confess... I LIKE IT.

(I want to buy a bunch and wire them up with servos and pull rods to make them do the Crab Rave dance.)

I'm pretty sure the reason Trump went to St. Cloud instead of Minneapolis of St. Paul is because all the big venues here are all owned or managed by some public group or another. Target Center (T-wolves,), the Minneapolis Convention Center, are both owned by Minneapolis out right; US bank stadium (vikings), Target Field (Twins baseball,) and the Xcell Center (the wild,)

Which really leaves Allianz field and CHS stadium, both of which are in St Paul, and it's dubious that the city would allow the event permits after the shitshow that happened during the 2020 Minneapolis rally. (something about day's notice, and among a lot of other things, ravening hordes of bigots from... not the city... many were just out-state rednecks, most were not from Minnesota at all, descending on checkpoints and not wanting to give up their firearms while also not having nearly enough porta-johns to accommodate them. ) (for anyone wondering. No. a security guard is not going to unlock the door and let you use the restroom because you're waiving firearms at them. they're going to leave the door locked and run away while calling the cops.)

the guy that lead the Cyber Truck project? that guy?

That doesn’t sound like certainty to me. So how strong are those indications? Maybe Walz remembers it wrong, the incident would still be very recent, and the warning sincere about not going to mainland. But it could also be he remembers correctly, and the “indications” are wrong.

So the civil unrest that was caused by the massacre continued for a very long time. the CCP still censors and bans refrences to the event today, and if you talk about it, you go to jail. It's very likely there was unrest on the mainland when he was there, and even after, there would still be warnings about unrest from hong kong residence (Probably in exactly the same way My grandmother still warns me about going into 'that wasteland, Minneapolis'. Even though I've sent her the photos of a vibrant city center that's absolutely not a waste land.)

I wouldn't call what Walz did necessarily a lie.

A lie requires an intent to deceive. August vs that spring is close enough in a general sense, and he wasn't saying he was physically at tianamen square. Especially when you consider that the massacre kicked off a lot of riots and unrest which likely continued while he was there.

Trying to spark off a race war on multiple occasions with multiple, intentional, falsehoods vs over-generalizations are not the same thing.

Back in reality, this is called emotional abuse and even if it works for the one game significantly deteriorates confidence on the long term.

It isn’t that I’m worried about Walz. I’m worried about Vance gosh galloping out his sound bites and starting yet another round of racial violence.

Walz might be the best person to counter it.

Considering how angry and unhappy these guys seem? Ignorance is not bliss.

It just makes it harder to find relief.

Correct me if I’m wrong…. But isn’t finding a new bacteria rather common for people who look at bacteria?

Two arrested, including 71-year-old man, for allegedly stealing almost 3,000 boxes of LEGOs

Saw this going to a friend’s house- they bagged the fire hydrants….one thought was snow; but this is the first year apparently. And snow has been a mild issue this year compared to most.

Snow on Thursday.

Due to reasons... I've "adopted" a CR10s that a friend had bought. It was used, and was already well on it's way to being a janky Printer of Theseus. My hope is to get it up and running and put through it's paces before the holidays so I can give it back as a gift.

With the linear rail upgrades, I picked up the hardware and it's on it's way; which got me looking at how to do the upgrade, which I have mostly figured out; the question I'm having is, most upgrades seem to place the rails on 2020 extrusions sitting on top of the base frame- same as how the original y axis 2040's were designed.

Which raises the question- why not lower it so the 2020 rails are even with the frame, with the mgn12 rail sitting on top? Like so:

The short answer I came to is this would necessitate replacing the brackets for the y stepper motor and it's idler; but it should be possible. the easiest solution would be something like:

which raises the question: are printed parts rigid enough to hold against the tension on the belts? The motors can't handle too much tension anyhow, and the printer already has the screw-cap tensioners for x and y printed that seem to have been holding up well.

has anybody replaced the OG metal bracket on the back? does it stress and need replacing often, or is it fairly reliable (and above all, consistent,)

I mean, like incompetent. For the record those organs I just stole? literally on the desk in front of him. Time to hike on over and sell it. To the Trade Authority.... all 20 feet away...

(this was in the UC security in the Well, new atlantis)

Which do you use and why? Which one gets it cleaner. If it matters we have “real” winters here, meaning snow cruft and salt that absolutely must be removed.

Edit to clarify: I’m talking about a choice in automated car washes- not hand washing cars. Seems people are getting confused. Touchless is a few passes with a pressure washer. Soft touch adds spinning car-wash brush things.

Okay, so, with structural modules- specifically the cowl/belly/hull modules you can slap in... aside from the trivial gains to hull, are they basically just for attachment points/decoration?

could i protect things that can be targeted- the weapons, shields, engines, and grav drive- by placing 'under' hull components? or does that just not matter?
