Do I have terminal internet brain-itus when I knew it's pee from the first panel?

[–] MagnyusG@lemmy.world 25 points 3 weeks ago

That depends, how familiar are you with Centurii-chan?

Check your judgmental shit at the door, lady, that’s a doctor who’s great at her job.

Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life

[–] atocci@lemmy.world 30 points 3 weeks ago

Well what did you think they did with all those samples?

[–] SkunkWorkz@lemmy.world 29 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Yeah that’s how Medieval physicians tested urine for diabetes.

I remember some years back on Reddit, a med student was kicking himself because he noticed how sweet his gf was when he went down on her, but didn't make the association until after her symptoms/diagnosis.

Kinda late for type 1 isn't it? How did she survive?

Type 1 can develop at any point in your life

Only if it's PD

Wow didn't know that, thought it's from birth. Thanks for the info.

It's caused by your immune system getting a little too excited to kill some cold or flu and taking out your pancreas in the collateral damage.

I appreciate that description. This is the kind of shit that comes to mind every time I hear someone claim "you should consume ________ to boost your immune system!" Like, if we could so easily increase it's activity, this is the shit we'd be setting ourselves up for.

On a total side note, I sent this meme to my Type 1 diabetic fiancée and she only responded with "wtf is wrong with you"

There's a Molière play where a fake doctor is in cahoots with the patient; she's sending him out the best wine in the house.

He makes this big show of tasting it, finishes the glass, then asks for another one.

It's fucking hilarious on stage with everybody else reacting.

I sent this to my fiancée and now I'm sleeping on the couch
