Just wait for the inevitable "men should get to vote for their wives" so that can't happen again.

[–] mjhelto@lemm.ee 23 points 2 weeks ago

Don't worry, that's exactly what these TheoBros and Christofascists want! It's literally in their little manifesto.

Under His eye!

[–] Notyou@sopuli.xyz 23 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

They do have more to lose. Look at how fast the Taliban took over Afghanistan when the US left. We should have trained their women to be in the military instead of their men. I doubt the women would have just gave up.

[–] Hacksaw@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

That's a shit take and you know it. The Taliban isn't something that they let win because they weren't motivated enough. The Taliban was better funded and better organized than the government army.

[–] Notyou@sopuli.xyz 2 points 2 weeks ago

Part of me thinks that was by design. The lack of motivation to build a better organized government.

[–] JoYo@lemmy.ml 13 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

let's not pretend that women don't vote for trump.

[–] TexasDrunk@lemmy.world 15 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

They do, but women break for Harris at 55% to 43%. Men tend to break the other direction by about the same amount.

[–] RubberElectrons@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

Cripes, as a dude, it's unbelievable to even see what the appeal is. Look what happened last time.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

What the fuck is wrong with them

[–] kittenzrulz123@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Fun fact: There were Jewish people who supported the Nazis, they even formed Jewish Fascist organizations.

Conclusion: Sometimes people will get swept up in grand political movements even if they stand to loose everything and gain nothing

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

So - the common clay of the New West?

[–] DoucheBagMcSwag@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Pray they vote like it come next week. CNN was interviewing undecided black men in Clayton County, GA a Biden stronghold and some were saying "women are emotional" and "I don't think women are great leaders"

Ladies need to outvote the machismo men who have a masculine ego to uphold for some reason

[–] 2ugly2live@lemmy.world 108 points 2 weeks ago (8 children)

Retribution for what? What the fuck did we do???

[–] elliot_crane@lemmy.world 73 points 2 weeks ago

Oh you know, the normal stuff women do to these guys like: refusing to have sex with them, having opinions, existing. All the typical incel shit.

[–] itsJoelle@lemmy.world 39 points 2 weeks ago

Oh god, I lived with a closeted white nationalist for a bit there. Every post date discussion was a fuck load of complaining about how he needs to “keep his political points of view to himself”

He would go on and on about how feminism has brain washed an entire generation, or about how queer-folk “wouldn’t exist if this made up nonsense didn’t spread” (Which he only bothered to mention because I was dating an ace woman in a “she’ll stop this behavior soon” kinda way)

It was crazy man, like, I’m a moron that takes a few tries to get introspection right, but the dood was out of his fucking gourd when it came to his “relationship “ with women.

[–] nimble@lemmy.blahaj.zone 22 points 2 weeks ago

You became equals and they want compliant trad wives.

[–] Itdidnttrickledown@lemmy.world 13 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

You wont give up that free will to some nose picking loser with a control fetish.

[–] ikidd@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

What about if I stop picking my nose?

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 11 points 2 weeks ago

Not them, and boy are they pissed about it

[–] Pacattack57@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

You are 2ugly2live. That is punishment enough

[–] FooBarrington@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

Y'all voted for a black man... and they took that personally.

Im not sure, I guess theyre angry we have standards? Or perhaps that we won't bow down to men? I wouldn't know since im AroAce (even if I did enter a Queer Platonic relationship it would probably be with another women).

[–] distantsounds@lemmy.world 85 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I can’t wait to see the fall of trump. He’ll never receive equal justice for his his words and actions, but I hope it isn’t quick and is in full public display

[–] kitnaht@lemmy.world 69 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

When he lost the election to Biden, I went from disappointed that he wouldn't ever see equal justice, to disappointed that not only is he running again, but somehow has a chance of winning again.

At this point, I'm just stocking up on ammo.

[–] distantsounds@lemmy.world 31 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I’ve been saying since trump was elected the first time, it will get really ugly before this can be put behind us. I thought Jan6th was that point; unfortunately that wasn’t low enough. I don’t know how things are going to play out, but I don’t think we’ve hit the sobering bottom and am preparing for the worst.

[–] spankmonkey@lemmy.world 24 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

We still have people praising those who fought to keep slavery in the civil war. Trump and other Republicans just did a wishdotcom nazi rally.

This shit will not be behind us within our lifetimes.

[–] uberdroog@lemmy.world 23 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

The hardon for 2nd amendment folks never consider that I get to protect myself, my property, and my rights, from them.

[–] kitnaht@lemmy.world 17 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

I just wanna be left alone, man. I keep to myself, I keep my head down, I don't stir the pot by placing political signs or anything. I don't have anything to prove to anyone. But likewise, I'm going to protect my rights as well.

[–] partial_accumen@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I am in the demographic that will be empowered and protected under a Trump presidency and it makes me sick. I cannot sit idly by and let the rights, safety, and freedoms I will continue to enjoy be stripped from all the other groups under Trump that aren't white men. “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

[–] kitnaht@lemmy.world 7 points 2 weeks ago

I hope I don't get lynched for saying this on lemmy, but ... amen brother. :D

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 8 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

For as long as the current constitution holds up and the judicial system doesn't become more partial. In the MAGA vision, only cisgendered, straight, right-wing, Christian, white men would be allowed to defend themselves.

[–] KillerTofu@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

Gay panic making a comeback

[–] EndOfLine@lemmy.world 54 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

A mid-October poll by Fairleigh Dickinson University found that Trump’s appeal is rooted in voters’ perceptions of his masculinity.

That is beyond disturbing, in every possible way.

[–] TexasDrunk@lemmy.world 35 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

He doesn't seem masculine at all. I don't get it. He doesn't go fishing, he doesn't go hunting, he whines and bitches about everything, I've never seen him chop wood, fix something around the house, or work on an engine, and I couldn't imagine him ever grilling on the back porch or building anything at all.

He's a soft handed elite who has never put in a day's work, and his only hobbies are eating fast food and bitching. He's weak. He's sad. He has no masculinity.

[–] 5in1k@lemm.ee 13 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I work with people who would call themselves masculine in our company’s management. They think they’re masculine because they follow sports. I think they’re quite efete myself. I hunt, fish, shoot guns, backpack camp, they all tell me it would be too much for them. I don’t consider myself extremely masculine, I have a wide range of hobbies, shit I have two glitter drawers and drag supplies.

[–] TexasDrunk@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

You and I would be friends. I've got a wide range of hobbies as well, starting with all the masculine ones you listed and ending with sewing, baking, cooking, and crocheting. I also do woodwork, build instruments, work on vehicles, and play music of all kinds. If I thought for one second that you could glitter bomb one of the guitars I built without that stuff getting all over my house I'd mail it to you because I think that looks cool as fuck.

I am not a sports guy myself, but I don't begrudge anyone their favorite teams (anymore, I was wildly against it in my youth because I was forced to participate).

I also learned a long time ago that I don't need to be masculine or anti-masculine. If I'm doing my own thing, making myself happy, and not hurting other people then I couldn't give the slightest shit what someone else thinks.

I can explain it. The explanation is that his voters have been led to believe that masculinity is under attack and that they should defend it. Trump claims he defends it. Therefore to his voters, Trump, without exhibiting any strong masculine characteristics, represents masculinity.

Hey MAGAtards, they still aren't gonna fuck you....losers.

[–] pearsaltchocolatebar@discuss.online 8 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I think their plan is to not give women a choice.

They looked at Saudi Arabia and said, "yes, please."

[–] Dkarma@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

Obviously you haven't met our women.

[–] ticho@lemmy.world 28 points 2 weeks ago

That's an odd way to misspell "young incels"...

[–] Sam_Bass@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago
