We should have both, honestly.
Unfortunately, the cost of creating Manhunter vs the amount of viewers it pulled in was why Netflix finished the show.
Streamers should stop analyzing shows this way. Television isn't linear anymore. People would probably rewatch Mindhunter for decades if it ended up getting finished.
Man I’d like that so much. Nothing else has come close to Silence of the Lambs vibes like that show does.
I hope he doesn’t drastically fuck with the color grading. He has a distinctive look he does since digital everything, and it’s fine, but Fight Club uses it to highlight the anodyne normal life parts, and then has a more organic and vibrant palette for the Tyler durden side.
The tone of the movie was achieved by often filming in candle light.
It was filmed on good analogue equipment that doesn't need to be upscaled and fucked with to get the same results with a better resolution.
I'm hopeful they don't ruin it.
Ah that’s interesting. There’s something about the lighting and color that really ramps up the seedy and grubbiness things, seems crucial to the movie.
