Hey now! My 1070 is doing just fine. Holy shit, it's from 2016. I'm actually very impressed and depressed all at the same time.
My Pascal Titan X also going strong still. The best of the best from 2016 is still very usable
I read that "from 2007". 2017 was like 3 years ago right? Right????
This seems like a big miss that every video game developer could skip the shadows and just say "our game takes place at high noon in Hawaii".
It only happens twice a year though.

Sun is almost directly over head, Intellectually, I know that.
But still, seeing these pictures hurts my brain down on the primal monkey/lizard level.

Perfect time to do mushrooms
I'm not sure. Some years ago a friend and me figured out, during a vacation it would be fun to take a lot of shrooms and just lie on the beach on a day like on the picture. We tripped our brain but we became crustaceans from outside from the sun, it hurt as hell for a week.
So folks be safe, consume hallucinogens in the shadow on days like that.

Yeah that's what I meant, very true. But the setting is much easier to optimize.

When the sun is directly overhead anywhere.
Unfortunately it only happens at certain latitudes above and below the equator, so it can't really happen just anywhere, just in the few places that are at those latitudes.
My bad, I meant anywhere the sun is directly overhead, which happens to be only in certain areas, but not just in Hawaii.
Hawaii is the only place in Merica that it happens, none of those other places exist.
