Good riddance, one less pedophile instance to worry about.

Yeah I don't think this person knows what they're talking about, they must either think ByteDance is hosting the source code on Oracle's servers or they somehow think that binaries are the same as source code ๐Ÿคท

Where did you get the idea that Oracle can see their source code? That only applies if they host their source repository on Oracle, if they host the servers there chances are it's binaries that are hosted on the server not the source code.

Two people listening at once, or DJing. It is very gimmicky but has its uses

You're not wrong, lots of people on Lemmy.world just really kiss up to fairphone because of their perceived betterness in other ways. Just because they claim to be doing some things better doesn't mean they aren't doing anything wrong or scummy.

Also I bet there's quite a few apple fanboys here who support copying apple in removing features, for some strange reason.

Trying to avoid people seeing it because they'll get more backlash and probably lose donators and rightfully so. These types of knee-jerk reactions combined with the refusal to address feedback are very concerning.

Haven't had many experiences like here, most people seem either positive or indifferent (both furry stuff and femboy/gnc). It doesn't come up as much here though so it's possible I just missed it.

specifically the turtle flat earth theory

I guess that's a no to Discussions around the DiscWorld novels and DiscWorld universe then?

First Debian, then Ubuntu because people said it was better, then back to Debian because it wasn't (snaps really suck and break things), then to Pop OS (bc new laptop preinstalled with it). I also got a SteamDeck semi-recently if that counts (still use the Pop OS laptop).

I feel like I've only seen one, maybe two people doing it, but I guess there might've been more.

Just early upvotes.

I was a bit worried because those early votes had a very large positive ratio and that could mean a very drastic culture shift since the last one of these posts, which obviously wouldn't bode well, not just for Lemmy.world but for interactions from it as well on other instances.

I see, it would be nice to ask someone who knows for sure.

@Rooki@lemmy.world is this the case? Is the ModId field a custom config that needs to be enabled and/or is it a feature added specifically to Lemmy.world (If you don't know would you mind asking someone who might know and getting back to me then?)? If that is the case I'll edit my responses with this new information.
