Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source.

Posts which titles don’t match the source won’t be removed, but the autoMod will notify you, and if your title misrepresents the original article, the post will be deleted. If the site changed their headline, the bot might still contact you, just ignore it, we won’t delete your post.

Apparently the suspect is a second-generation immigrant with parents from Rwanda, but they're Christian (like the large majority of people in Rwanda) according to their neighbors. Source. Sorry that it's Fox, but the more reputable newspapers don't seem to be publishing this information, presumably because it hasn't officially been announced by the police due to the law regarding suspects under 18. Not that contrary facts would keep these rioters from damaging a mosque...

That seems extremely pertinant and damaging to the narrative they want to concoct. So of course it wouldnt be reported on.

If this was the US those people would be dead

[–] JoMiran@lemmy.ml 20 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Three police dogs were also injured, with two sustaining leg injuries from having bricks thrown at them and a third suffering burns to her back leg.

Correct, in America the dogs would've been shot

Oh, you don't want to hurt a K9 in the US. If you are lucky enough to survive the trigger happy police officer, you are looking at serious time.

Does anybody want this bot?

[–] gmtom@lemmy.world 5 points 3 months ago

I think it's good. It promotes thinking critically of bias in news sources without forcing anything on you.

I think it's a good bot

[–] tissek@sopuli.xyz 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I enjoy it and the extra scrolling doesn't bother me. Well it bothers me much less that the information it provides.

[–] Sculptor9157@sh.itjust.works 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Cool. Every post I've come across for it has been in the negative, so it made me wonder.

[–] 3ntranced@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

The negative votes are from whichever side's bias it doesn't follow.
