Americans have a double-standard. If you profess to be a real politician, stand-up person, and trying to do good you have to appear strong, smart and effective. I can see what people are trying to do, but it doesn't work. The right wing talking points about the less-right wing don't work when flipped, because his followers don't care. They lap it up.

They're tootling around in mobility scooters covered with Trump flags and stickers. Their homes have been shrines to him since 2016. He could physically shit himself on stage and these people would still vote for him, no questions asked. Trump makes them feel good about their hatred they've been told is wrong for the last few decades. Their MAGA is an all-white suburb as far as the eye can see.

The only thing that will stop them is his death. A large chunk of the movement will die with him. Those followers don't really seem to care for the republican party. That's the only upside.
