Me making my next post:
Me lurking outside these posts and waiting for my moment to reply to someone else's reply:
Me jerking someone off down in the comments of your next post:
Someone is looking at my posts?
That one random downvote on an otherwise innocuous comment:
LOL that worked
Imagine their face once they manage to see the porn I consume
Here's the best way to get that reaction on Lemmy.
Windows is better than Linux. You can game easier, Install older programs easier, you most likely won't have any issues or have security issues like the Linux crowd says you will. It has amazing built in antivirus and compatibility with tons of hardware. Etc
On Reddit, it was always saying that I prefer manual transmission over automatic that made people very, very angry. I never have understood that one except to think that some people takes it as a personal insult.
You could also say that lowering taxes on the rich is the best way to improve the economy.
I know I'd give it that reaction.
Well that's just dumb though. Windows is actually good 👍. The strange point you're trying to prove is basically proving my point.
Windows is actually good
It really isn't.
Find you a girl who looks at you like this.
Ha, jokes on them, I don't make posts.
It's how my mom looks at me too. (I'm going to hell I guess)
Yeah, the motherfuckers who downvote for whatever reason. 😤
Occasionally, someone goes through my post history and downvotes every post. I'd love to know who it is just so I can thank them for the amusement.
You care about downvotes?
I guess they are a signal of disapproval, but its better to be honest and say what you think then to try and get liked in every post.
To be fair, it could have a negative impact on whether or not new users or lurkers get involved.
It can inhibit participation. A lot of people automatically downvote anyone with a negative score and upvote anyone with a positive score because of the peer pressure or something. It’s how the brigading and triple digit downvotes often get started.
It's actually funny though. I said my fair share of generally downvoted stuff, but most of my replies that weren't completely overlooked end up with something between 10 and 100 likes as well as exactly 1 dislike.
Me looking through these comments to see if there's any names that I look at like this
I'm in this photo and I don't like it
They should see a doctor immediately. Nobody’s skin should be grey.
Racist
Busted
You can't please everyone, the upvotes speak for themselves though - don't let downvotes get you down too hard
This is how I do it.
Currently 5 people.
Good. I hope so. Bring it on, lady.
This is how I imagine every Lemmy user.
Up to 80% of the plot lines in that show were just Mrs. Olson being a bitch.
How I look at my own posts on reddit from 10 yrs ago
Yo that's me a lot of the time. I sometimes downvote a shallow or shortsighted post only to remember that if I want Lemmy to Flourish then I can't disincentivize posting, and the weak willed losers actually care that they get a downvote, so I then un-downvote to help their pathetic feelings.
For the most part, people are very nice around here especially compared to Reddit and Facebook. Every once in a while, though, because of federation you'll end up in some random thread full of angry people without even realizing it and say something completely benign, only to be brigaded in response by a whole lot of angry people who constantly sort their instance by new comment and refresh.
I am so angry that you said that! (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻)
Nice art!
The janitor after i get out from the Tacobel's bathroom 👌💥
It's me. I look at my posts like that. I should probably post sober more often.
I am one of them.
