You’ll have a great career in writing Amazon descriptions.

Where’s my amazons choice Rhonda?

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 4 points 10 months ago (2 children)

We have to get my daughter a notebook computer that runs Windows or Mac OS for her online school she's starting next semester. Obviously we're not going to spend the money on a Mac and she doesn't need anything very powerful because it's going to be mostly web browsing and Zoom meetings. There are a lot of sub-$300 notebooks on Amazon, and some of them are from companies like Acer and Dell, but there are a shit ton of brands I have never heard of- Excebook, CHUWI, SGIN... some don't even say the brand. It's crazy.

Chuwi is one I have actually come across IRL! Can’t vouch either way for it but anecdotally the owner seemed happy

[–] Aliendelarge@lemmy.world 4 points 10 months ago

That Tiyata Carolllla seems like a bargain.

[–] Zorque@kbin.social 1 points 10 months ago

[–] _number8_@lemmy.world 6 points 10 months ago

[–] TheOgreChef@lemmy.world 6 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I can only imagine this going poorly, but in hilariously unexpected ways that I can’t wait to see.

[–] RoseRose56@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago

But the shareholders said otherwise, they expect to make billions! Cause they are trying to maximize their profits. But I agree with you.

[–] alienanimals@lemmy.world 5 points 10 months ago

Amazon sucks, but so do the gate-keeping dealerships.

[–] TenderfootGungi@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago

The sooner that traditional car dealers go away as a business model the better.

[–] conditional_soup@lemm.ee 2 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Yes, but when can I buy a train?

[–] pan_troglodytes@programming.dev 2 points 10 months ago (1 children)

[–] 1847953620@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

[–] Xavier@lemmy.ca 1 points 10 months ago

Hmm… how will a return work? 🤔

Put it the car back in a box and drop it at the nearest dropoff store or UPS/FedEx? 🤣

Will there be a 30% restocking fee?

What if the car just doesn't work after delivery? Missing parts?

Will there now also be a Amazon Warehouse Deals for used cars?
