For people arguing Biden isn't too old to be president...
This points out he's not spending the next two years just being president, he's running for president at the same time.
It's a shit ton to expect out of someone in their mid 80s.
We'd be better off if he stepped aside and focused on one job he's 20 years too old for instead of fumbling one for two years and now adding another.
At least one of the two will fall behind, maybe both
Biden is 81, not young but also not mid-80s. Trump is three years younger than him. Why is Biden's age a problem but not Trump's?
I'm trying to figure out how an election less than a year away means he'll be spending the next 2 years running for president
Because quantum physics, obviously. /s
The Biden Wave Function!!!
Because for Trump and his followers, every accusation is an admission.
Fascist propaganda doesn't work when you attack the senile leader of your cult's mental acuity. I mean, just remember how good his memory is: person woman man camera tv!
Queen Elizabeth II was 96 when she died. Age has no meaning, the individual does. If they are mentally able to act as President then that is all that matters.
I wouldn't really use her as an example, because she didn't really have much of a real job that took mental acuity.
Now Mahmoud Abbas has led the Palestinian Authority through nearly impossible conditions and he's 88. That's a better example IMO.
Name someone who has a better chance to beat Trump.
Bernie, if he chose to run, which it seems he's firmly decided not to. But, if he did, he would (imo of course) probably defeat Biden in the primary, and then completely obliterate the general.
The drive to find a viable "outsider" is stronger than ever, and Bernie has that, while also having a pretty firm lock on the moral high ground to shell Trump from. Biden has unfortunately lost that edge, due to his staunch support for Israel, which many of us consider to be the incorrect position in the modern day and are trying hard to pressure him away from.
I don't think Bernie wants to, though. I think he's okay supporting Biden, all things considered, and is also getting rather old himself. He blazed the trail that other progressives will have to follow to keep that torch aloft, and someday carry it into the presidency.
Bernie would lose a great number of center votes. The guy was praising Chavez and Venezuela not that long ago. It is easy for him to suggest all these programs when he knows there is no way to pay for it.
Have you seen the polls?
Biden isn't the best chance against trump.
trump is the best chance politicians like Hillary and Biden had/have at becoming president
We're 1/2, and polling for round three is a lot worse than last time.
You still didn't name someone. You lose.
Literally any other democrat.
Such as, specifically?
The poll asked who would you rather vote for. Democrat voters said they would rather vote for “any other democrat”
Quit making stupid arguments and repeating back your MSNBC garbage
According to the recent polls, literally any other democrat.
So you think Kamala Harris has a better shot?
That doesn't really follow.
You're saying that no other democrat would poll worse?
So, Jimmy Carter would have a better chance of being elected? Hillary Clinton? My 70-year old rambling uncle?
Your pretending to be dumb, except I don’t think you’re pretending
Marianne williamson, Dean Phillips. Both are on the primary ballot.
Marianne Williamson is a woo-woo peddler who is in no way, shape, or form suited to be elected to dog catcher, let alone president and Dean Phillips is Representative (no Representative has ever been elected president) who is such a shitty politician that he under-performed Biden as an incumbent in his own district in 2020.
There are not serious answers.
Being a Representative is not any criteria for dismissing the validity of a candidate. You could use the same logic to dismiss a female candidate, a Pacific Islander, and more.
Not even close. Experience is relevant when seeking a job; gender and ethnicity is not.
And neither has any real possibility of being the nominee much less defeating cult45.
My god... this argument again.
Everyone is sooooo concerned about Biden's age, but not Trumps. It's bizarrely unbalanced.
Fine dude. Convince him to step aside. I'll vote against Trump no matter who the Democratic Party fields. Can you say the same?
