The fuck does that even mean?

[–] sebinspace@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

that is, indeed, the joke

I don’t get these comments. Are we suddenly against caution and taking our time to get things right? I get that Boeing have been shitting all over that idea recently, but shouldn’t we give credit where credit is due?

It can still be done, but there’s no like.. industry standard for how to build a backend afaik? And cloud compute is still relatively new, all things considered. Not to mention all the CSPs kind of want to lock you into their ecosystem

Reason #1 we discourage people from making MMOs.

Now Bridget, let’s be clear: you’re not being called out for being bi. That would be hypocritical. You’re being called out for being a hypocritical cunt yourself.

Now kindly fuck off :3

EVE Online taught me this lesson. Those with the resources to do so will take a loss to price you out of the market, because they know you can’t take the losses nearly as long as they can.

Stack trying to remain relevant

I think I’ve gotten about as much out of KSP1 as I’m ever going to get. I really like the USI mod, but the lack of optimizations keeps me from doing anything really complex. By the time I have all of the facilities on the Mun to have full manufacturing (or.. munufacturing, if you will), the game is already lagging to the point of unplayability.

And optimizations..

fuck it needed optimizing..

I forked it on GitHub, GitLab, two private git servers, and Google Drive lmao. Shit isn’t going anywhere.

I am officially an old person, as I have subscribed to a magazine. It’s niche, but it’s been around a long time, and having enjoyed a lot of issues in my childhood that were given to me for free, I feel I should give back.

I’m wondering if there are precautions I should take. Can any sort of copy protection be put into PDFs that I should strip out? If I share them as a torrent, should I be worried that the publisher can tell where they came from?
