Conversation in my local Starbucks tomorrow: Me: “I’d like a triple grande, soy, no foam latte in a to-go vulva.” Barista: “Sir, I have a taser and pepper spray, if you leave now, I won’t call the cops.”

When I see how some women were treated in the 50’s, I get the feeling the scariest thing to many men would be a woman they couldn’t command.

Is it too much to ask for a Godzilla movie where he and king king go to a coffee shop and pretentiously sip stadium-sized espressos while animatedly discussing which philosophers would best perform a rail grind down the worlds longest handrail while whistling “Country Roads” by John Denver and juggling a piece of the original cross, the Loch Ness Monster’s kidney stone and a VHS tape containing the last remaining copy of a deleted scene from Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood where he laughs at a fart. 10/10 would watch.

Wait…there are people that clean their earbuds?

Not sure if this is something better implemented in Thunder or within Lemmy somehow.

I’d love the option to only show posts in specific languages. It’s great that people worldwide are jumping on Lemmy, but I feel like I’m playing whack-a-mole with posts written in languages I don’t read.

This feature, combined with an instance filter would make me so happy!

I’ve had turkey just about every possible way it can be cooked, and it just isn’t that good.

Doesn’t matter how juicy or dry and it doesn’t matter what herbs or spices are used, it just not that tasty.

Give me a brisket or a standing rib roast or just about anything that isn’t turkey for thanksgiving.

Lemmy is growing daily, which is awesome! But it would be nice to be able to see new content coming in, but filter certain communities and users at the same time.

I see comments where people say “just use subscribed”, and that’s fine, but I’d like to see what’s new, filtering things I know I don’t want to see.

For example, I see city communities becoming very active, good for them! I know I will never be interested in let’s say a particular city’s community. I’d like to block it and continue seeing the rest of all the new stuff.

Similarly, the same is true for some users. It would also be nice if the keyword and instance filters would be hidden.

Thus I propose a new feed view “All (filtered)”.

Thanks for all the great work on the app!

I was really distraught over the whole Reddit Spez-gate meltdown, and Memmy has been like a breath of fresh air.
