In the past week I've seen:

Ne Zha

The Rule of Jenny Pen (theater)

Ne Zha was decent. Really fun action sequences and great visuals in the action sequences. Some of the humor didn't land, likely because it's a kids movie and maybe because I'm American and Chinese humor just doesn't land as well for me.

The Rule of Jenny Pen was certainly something. Its basically John Lithgow physically and mentally abusing elderly people with a puppet. I'd recommend watching it. Lithgow does a great job playing an absolutely unhinged psychopath.

It stems back to a PR from the SerenityOS project where someone changed a "he" to a "they" in the documentation and the PR was declined for "personal politics"

Here's an article about it: https://hyperborea.org/reviews/software/ladybird-inclusivity/

It does leave out this response by Kling on Twitter:

Pretty bad opening considering the budget is rumored to be $100m+.

Alternatively, let's nationalize Starlink

In our recent election, I was led to believe the president controls the price of eggs.

Honey can technically expire. If it crystalizes, some portions of it can become more diluted, leading to a low enough osmotic pressure for bacteria and fungi to exist. If you do buy in bulk, check your local universities. One in my area does honeybee research and sells bulk honey from their bee lab at cheaper prices than any of the private beekeepers. I use it to make mead.

Maybe Revolt or Matrix?

bee populations are declining rapidly due to habitat loss, pesticides, parasites, and climate change.

Not sure why habitat loss is listed since honeybees are invasive in the U.S. We should be focusing harder on saving native pollinators.

Can your toaster produce fascist propaganda?

Mozilla says that “there are a number of places where we collect and share some data with our partners” so that Firefox can be “commercially viable,” but it adds that it spells those out in its privacy notice and works to strip data of potentially identifying information or share it in aggregate.

Sounds like they've already been selling (or trading) data and this whole debacle is a way to retroactively cover their asses.

"Play time's over boy"

This is such a cool and silly cult classic from the 80s. Sho Nuff aka The Shogun of Harlem is one of the coolest bad guys in B Movie history. The final showdown is just cool as hell.
