As i said, this is a necessary evil. That does not change reality. MBS is a brutal dictator with an iron fist over the whole middle east, and he is a murderer. I think all countries should be moving away from saudi arabia, not closer to it.

I think we all want a normal and happy life; i want to. But im not sure if the world works that way; there has always been war and famine, but now its gotten into the mainstream.

100%. Rimu, jollyroberts and andrew are all amazing people, providing both piefed and .social itself for free. They work very hard, and hell, the feeds PR was only created 4 days ago, and pushed today!

Piefed and its devs deserve way more :D

I've spent months working on this program. I've long thought that "how fast can you make a FizzBuzz" would be a really interesting question for learning about high-performance programming, and when I subsequently saw this question posted on CGCC, I pretty much had to try.

Microsoft Makes More Of Their DirectX Compiler Code Open-Source (www.phoronix.com)
 

That code is now part of this February 2025 DirectX Shader Compiler release as they further build-out the DXIL capabilities. Developers outside of Microsoft previously reverse-engineered the hashing algorithm while now it's officially open-source. This will help in situations like those compiling shaders for DirectX outside of Windows hosts or the selective Linux binaries Microsoft has provided in the past.

Heyo, i created a community a couple of days ago specifically dedicated to reviving dead (unmoderated and inactive) communities. I realized that a lot of great communities i like are actually unmoderated, and i obviously can't mod them all; so why not create an archive of all of them?
