I think it is much more likely that the way a human being metabolizes food is different then what happens in bomb calorimeter and trying to draw conclusions based on said device is not very helpful to understanding human physiology, but then again i am just some schmuck on the interwebs and i dont even play a scientist on tv

that is news to me, I thought sci fi was just a short form for science fiction. I dont think many people would welcome that type of borderline content, I know I wouldnt; and I positively bristle when comic books are referred to as sf, just my $0.02

Hi, Thanks for volunteering your time. I would like to see if we could somehow integrate bookwyrm into the community. I found a ton of stuff from /r/scifi and I think that we could do some type of collaborative list of books we like or something and get that aspect of the fediverse happening too. Good luck, may the schwartz be with you

I am using this extension https://github.com/null-dev/firefox-profile-switcher it seems to work pretty well, I just switched back to firefox after a decade with chrome, now that they dont mind being evil I am not going to keep using their products.

I just sleep with a mask, but I hear you man, that trend is super-irritating. I think it comes from people who cant tell that something is powered on without seeing an led indicator

maybe? I know I dont have the balls to suggest our enterprise sw migrate to kotlin. I love the language but I think getting management to make such a drastic change can be hazardous if it turns out to cause unexpected bugs that lose millions of dollars :( such is the life of a java programmer
