I have a 1996 F150 2WD which has beams and they've always kinda fascinated me as a solution so I wanted to dive into the design considerations.

Okay so flying kites is a very good time. Two line sport kites can be reasonably cheap and easy to learn. You can transition into larger power kites that are a total blast and quite a workout to control. I've never done it but you can move up to kiteboarding or similar sports as well.
