There was a thing about this from the finnish public broadcasting company a while ago. Their results were similar.

Usually the news only concern the instance's users. If you want to find announcements, the community is often named either meta or main.

But maybe a common place for instance status announcements isn't such a bad idea.

The instance admin is working on migrating the server as we speak. It'll be back up sooner or later.

You can't move it even with admin access, because it will break it for other instances that expect the old domain.

Theoretically it could be "safe" to manually copy local content made by local users, but I wouldn't dare to attempt it.

I think this is a known problem. I've seen it recommended a lot to moderate communities from the same instance.

That's some good improvements you have there. Great work, and thank you.

I don't like that all art is just "content." I can believe that the cost of creating "content" really is near-zero, but "content" isn't the kind of music I look for. I spend effort trying to appreciate the craft and understand it, so "content" kind of defeats the point.

Why don't you make a post to !newcommunities@lemmy.world

Maybe a few foreign instance users will subscribe, and therefore federate the content to their instances.

I wouldn't accept a job if they didn't do it.

As much as T2 sucks, this is still probably a positive development.

This isn't a serious project, I'm doing it just for the sake of it. Continuation from this: https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/post/82561

The project isn't necessarily very impressive, but regardless, I dumped the source to github: https://github.com/sevonj/gdlm

As I looked at documentation, I had the thought of using lemmy as a news/update feed. I made a quick godot project that can fetch a community feed and open posts.

Hi, I've got my instance (the one I'm posting from) running a couple days ago. Everything seems to work, but I notice that the little content I have on my instance can only very rarely be found from other instances. I installed lemmy with the ansible method, but is there something I should still look at myself? Thanks.

Selaan sopulia kirjautuneena omaan instanssiin. Linkit yhteisöihin ovat ilmeisesti muodossa [!suomi@sopuli.xyz](https://sopuli.xyz/c/suomi). Tämä vaihtaa sivuston sopuliin, johon on luonnollisesti eri kirjautuminen. Kokeilin tehdä linkkejä eri muodoissa. [!suomi@sopuli.xyz](c/suomi@sopuli.xyz)pitää saman instanssin.

Voi kokeilla linkkejä vaikka tämän läpi: https://suppo.fi/c/suomi@sopuli.xyz
