Im so confused why this wouldn’t work and I didn’t see anywhere in the article the actual reason. Can anyone explain it better? Can you not just play a vr video file? Is it blocking the sites? I’m just confused.

I really like his videos but those past ones about the pinball machines would put me to sleep so fast! I’m glad he’s doing another photography topic!

Depending how much you want to play around with it, you may be able to configure something with Shortcuts to get the desired behavior. I have something similar set up for screen brightness and media volume based on what WiFi networks I’m connected to or places I’m at.

Is this any different than EPA rated MPG listed on vehicles? Obviously their quoted range is an absolute best case scenario. Still fun to meme on the cyber truck though.

Wouldn’t that be great! Unfortunately,I feel like the us will never get to the point of having any decent socialized healthcare. :(

What sort of argument is this? Obviously if the net catches a fucking person then yeah good job nets. But the root of the problem isn’t people falling off the bridge on accident. It’s people with unaddressed mental health issues wanting to kill themselves. How about we address the mental health aspects instead of just making them jump off a different bridge or shoot themselves or any other of a million different ways to kill yourself. If I really wanna die a net on that specific bridge won’t stop me I’ll just find another way.

What idiots are downvoting this? The problem isn’t that the bridge is too high. It’s that the people who have suicided there in the past had no access to mental health care. You downvoters are not looking at the root of the problem. You really think all the suicidal people are just gonna magically cure themselves because they installed nets?

The money spent on not only the nets and installing them etc but also the lawmakers that wasted their time coming up with this idea and meeting about it etc etc is ALL a waste of public funds and could have been put to much better use towards the actual problem.

This is just Americans patting themselves on the back pretending they’re doing a good job 👏🏼

Just off the top of my head but I think you’re on the right path when it comes to sounding more eloquent. Poetry probably came from people messing around and playing with words to find what sounds interesting.

You’re already good to go on rhyming. So maybe just try for different rhyme schemes.

You might could also add other whatever-they’re -calleds like alliteration, consonance, metaphors, etc. Each of those are just a tools in the poet’s toolbox.

But what do I know!

I really wish he would do a video about his personal photography. I always love it when he would get air time on LTT or one of their other channels talking about cameras and was always curious to see his photos.

Films where I don’t recognize a single actor among the whole crew are almost always better than ones where I’ve seen such and such actor in other movies. Just more immersive. And even if they’re not the best actors I’d much prefer that over whatever the hell Chris Prat or Tom Cruise or Leo D are up to.

I think you’re right and maybe that’s why I prefer horror movies so much over literally all else. And to your point about being outside of Hollywood, I really appreciate it when I don’t recognize any of the actors. It makes it much more immersive for me. Usually much better camera work and lighting too. And Less CGI - atleast the better ones. I hate it when the whole screen is just really good animation :(

Photo Critique is now live! If you're looking for a safe place to get some constructive criticism on your OWN work then you've found it! The goal is to be similar to the photocritique subreddit that I already miss dearly. With the community here on Lemmy I want everyone to be able to receive some type of constructive feedback be it general or specifically addressing a certain part of your work. Too often on Reddit posts would go unnoticed by the community and people would just rave over the best photos in the group. Lemmy will be a great place for this new community and hopefully alleviate some of the problems faced on Reddit.

I already have a few posts up to work as a guide for new posters on what to do and how to do it so post away!

I really enjoyed /r/photocritique (I believe that's what it was - don't wanna open reddit!) community and have not yet found a good alternative on the fediverse. Does anyone know of a place? Or where/how could I learn how to create a place for photography critique and guidance?
