No knock to you and your tip, but I’d never use a browser CarPlay solution🤐 the touch responsiveness is too slow and it’s too much of a hassle to start up at every drive.

No totally not. I think it’s time I move away from kbin because I constantly have this issue lol

I’m seeing a bunch of these 9” gauge cluster screens that double as CarPlay screens. Only problem is that I find 9” way too small for CarPlay/Android Auto. Are there any in the 11-12” range?

reporting in from Pima County, AZ:

We're generally just shy here in Pima County of a 60/40 democratic lean. On the ground it feels like more and more people from Cali are moving in and voting blue all the way down ballot. Biden himself isn't very popular, but the Democratic policies are however very popular. I'm in my 30s, and nearly 60% of the people I know are voting blue, with people in Phoenix seemingly trending more blue since 2020. A down ballot abortion issue (it looks like it'll make the ballot in November) will absolutely cause a surge that will push the election over the edge as I know how pro-abortion most people are here. The Democratic Party here is running canvassing and getting people involved; I feel cautiously optimistic about us going blue again this cycle.

just be prepared that the "default" YouTube recommendations are all clickbait + Mr. Beast + whatever fad is going around. The default recommendations are really really bad.

there's really no such thing

I switched to Bitwarden after 1Password moved to electron and booted selfhosters off the app and into their sub model. Jesus Christ is the current Bitwarden UI bad. It’s easily the worst looking application on my phone that isn’t a banking app; I’ve had zero issues with the functionality though.

I do a job where my hands are potentially full and I cannot touch my phone for extended periods of time. I use the assistant for as much as it will let me...

here in the US in my situation it boils down to my parents/grandparents not being able to understand the difference between any texting application. I'm fine using SMS/iMessage because I know everyone has it. I'd say the vast majority of non-technologically savvy people I know are incapable or unsure how to use the basic functions of their phone (very few people I know in this category use their phone for anything else but calls, texts, and the web browser; everything else is just unused for either lack of understanding or lack of interest).

As much as I would hate it, I’d consider strategically voting against her, definitely in a primary election, for sure in a general election just to get rid of her. Fuck her.

KDE Connect is something I keep my eye on and check in every once in a while: Is there a dedicated page tracking updates specifically to KDE Connect? I’m really very much looking forward to a time where it is feature compete with Android compared to Apple’s continuity platform. I would absolutely love to move to Android+Linux as my daily drivers, but I feel like I’m giving up on too much by leaving the Apple ecosystem.

Does Connect use BTLE?
Could you guys implement an auto tethering option between phone/PC?
How instant are notifications synced? Do notifications disappear on one side or the other when viewed on one or the other platform?
Maybe implement a “link to KDE” notification toggle to mirror the “link to windows” functionality of Android?

I was like 5: I typed in yahoo.com, searched “pop” because it was the only word I could think of at that moment.

Earliest interesting thing: I played the old flash game where you get X-ray glasses and you look at people’s junk when I was like 6.

NH even lets you register to vote at the polling place. (Your ballot is provisional until you prove residency)

Hi there, have a question (coming from a legal municipality):

Recently picked up a 1g preroll of cannabis from the dispensary and left it in my car for a week (ambient temps around 41°). When I went to smoke it, it smelled the same and looked the same (was in a sealed plastic container) but it had no effect whatsoever. Does THC degrade at high ambient temps?

iPhone user here:

I'm sorry if this is a really controversial question, but I really enjoy the system-wide transparency and glassUI of iOS. I want to migrate to Android, but the big manufacturers (Samsung, Google, OnePlus, etc) all have a flat UI design by contrast. In my research, the closest I could find is MIUI, but the phones that run MIUI don't support all the carrier bands in the USA. Does android really not have the option of a glassy transparent UI?
