Path of Exile has "evolved", and not in a way I like, in the most recent years.
It's a very fast, clear-speed focused game, now, more so than ever. Even inside it's genre, it's exceptionally build focused and not very interactive during play, which is impressive, considering these are things the genre is known for.

The more I play it, the less I think it is a horde shooter and the more I think the people playing it like a horde shooter are making the game WAY harder than it needs to be.
It's a guerrilla warfare simulator, and I kind of love it for that. Both games have a place in my library, and I'll likely keep coming back to each one every time there's a major update.
