I swear I've seen this before, like pre-YouTube or circa 2001. i even remember the woman only lasting a few minutes on the forum that was scrutinizing it because she didn't seem to be aware of trolls. if this is a recent interview then maybe it was done as some sort of homage. only way i would have come across it back then was if someone threw up a link in general chat on pirat4x4.

I'm not sure I understand - what would you call Banjo-Kazooie? Or even Super Mario 64? What do you mean by "3d platformer"? Like "open world" kinda game?

After reading the "issues" discussion from w weeks ago, this is just an idea at this point. The simplemobiletools fork was a mock up for something that sounds like its very much in the planning/ideas stage. you can also go to fossify.org to see another mock up that does nothing right now. You could message one of them, but I think maybe its some MIT software team / group & their just tossing ideas around for a foss hub of sorts.

I prefer self checkout for several reasons. And I agree with you - let's pay workers a living wage. That being said, I don't put 100% of the financial reponsibility on employers. I feel we (the consumers) need to acknowledge that employers aren't the sole beneficiaries in this system. Translation; I want a living wage policy to be implemented but also I realize that this means an increase in the price I pay for (some) services. With this in mind, maybe I should receive a discount for using self checkout. Alternatively, how would you feel about being charged directly for the amount of time required for a "checker" to scan your items & ring you up? For example if you paid $0.33/minute this would cover a $20/hr wage.

Disclaimer: This "shared responsibility" can't be universally applied across all goods & services; employers don't get carte blanche to pass 100% of these costs onto the consumer. A living wage policy might entail some sort of agreed upon "max profit" policy or "open books" / transparent finances approach.

I'd say 400% + is a more realistic cost of buying components local vs. online. Regardless, I miss having the local option even tho I can actually get most parts delivered faster than it used to take me to drive to Fry's & back.

instead of the majority of users having to create blocks (multiple opt-outs) couldn't this be set up so users that want bot posts sign up or opt-in somehow?

The only time I've ever witnessed this was opening nite of "Star Wars" in La Puente/West Covina area ~ 45 years ago. Back then that was the title of the movie (not "A New Hope" Episode IV).

I love mango especially because it can be frozen & it doesn't breakdown the texture nor the flavour. It one of the only frozen fruits I can get from grocery store that I can eat out of the package (vs. most frozen fruit is only good for smoothies etc IMO). My favorite is plums, but only from my granma's tree. Nothing sold in stores would ever be labeled "plum" if it were up to me. I also like pineapple alot. Apples, oranges, peaches, while sometimes store bought you might get a good one once in a while, homegrown (or local....basically fresh) fruit has no equal. But i practically live off fruit except during the 3 winter months.

The article puts the "overwhelmed" statement in auotes but doesn't attribute it to anyone, & later in the article states > the rise in respiratory illnesses has not resulted in patient loads that exceed hospital capacities.

Passing on misleading/clickbait headlines should be discouraged IMO. Also, why are articles being posted without any comments or justification/reasons for sharing the article?

For mechanical fasteners thag don't require any bonding / achesives red heads are what I've always used. They also have special screws, all of these I have no problem recomend\ing. The only advantage I can think one of the redheads might have over your current (working) solution is if you used a a threaded sleeve type to allow the "axle"? to be removeable. I've used these types for bolting tool stands like metal tube be benders to the floor of my garage. Allows me to have multiple tool mounts that are removeable - lasted 10+years without any issues.
