They're all so desperate for an excuse to increase the price further, and I don't know anybody who wants this.
We're already at over 6 inch for phones. It's plenty big enough. If I want to see something on a bigger screen, I'll use a device with a bigger screen.
It gets clicks from angry people, that's the only reason IGN do anything these days.

If there's 150,000 identical homes for rent in an area, and 200,000 people/couples/families want to live there, then 50,000 are going to be shit out of luck.
The going rate is going to be the maximum that the 150,000th person out of those 200k is prepared to pay.
How do you fight maths?
Build more houses. Less competition means lower prices.
Social housing schemes.
Work from home being a right so you don't end up with everyone needing to work in a massive city to make ends meet.
Tax landlords. They're already charging the most the market will bear, and taxes would mean they can't just snap all those homes up and offer them for rent. If buying and renting homes is a valid business plan, then the tax isn't high enough.
They're not. Steam survey has 4K monitors at under 4%. Well over half are at 1080p and below. There's exactly 1 GPU in the top 10 above the nVidia x060 series.
The way things get reviewed, you'd think 4K was a minimum. I suspect the majority of high end cards out there aren't even used for gaming.

Not sure how much you can monetise the news feed for a game you already own... The publisher may already control all the things linked to it. If unmonetised things are "ads" now, then the whole Steam UI is a giant ad.
