I can't wait! We'll finally get to do a real world test for the parallel sending features!! And if all goes well I'll get to save 5 Euro a month!
Thanks LW

Only when they enable it ๐. We are also here waiting with excitement but it's nice to know there is someone else that can be the guinea pig ๐

I'm not a dev/programmer, but does the version number starting with a zero suggest that Lemmy is still in a pre-release state? Like alpha or beta or something? If so, what needs to happen before it gets to version 1.0? Just curious! From my layperson's perspective, Lemmy runs great and I have no complaints about it, so I'm not sure what v.1.0 would look like. Or maybe it's all internal stuff that I'll never notice anyway?
It's a bit of a shame we don't see any significant new features in this release. Piefed seems to be developing at a much faster pace compared to Lemmy, which is a bit embarrassing tbh.
It is in Python so that is to be expected:-). Fwiw Lemmy's search feature is still vastly superior. Everything else, I would say that PieFed either ties or exceeds the Lemmy experience, sometimes greatly so, and often there is simply no equivalent at all (like user customizable and shareable Feeds, which act like multi-Reddits).
Mostly though, if you are happy with the Lemmy app that you use, then it's all good. Though PieFed is coming up strong to provide competition, which can only be a good thing for the entire Fediverse:-).
Nice!
Good luck!
Looking forward to the webUI supporting defined thumbnails per post.
Nice add๐
Wow. Finally.
Exciting!
I am looking way forward to posting images with alt text! They brought that in for 0.19.4 and it's the one thing that I've been really feeling the lack of on here since the start.
