So the Jews are running the world after all!

[–] Evil_Shrubbery@lemm.ee 49 points 8 hours ago

The villain we need

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 12 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

False. I wear no beanie at all and am not yet emperor.

[–] Maggoty@lemmy.world 1 points 4 minutes ago

Then you should probably put your beanie back on before the guards see you...

[–] salvaria@lemmy.blahaj.zone 43 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Is a ski mask just a beanie that covers your entire head? If so, I guess this still makes sense: Bank robber lol

[–] Clinicallydepressedpoochie@lemmy.world 11 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Real bank robbers are behind the desk.

[–] ThePantser@lemmy.world 1 points 4 hours ago

No, they are people robbers, similar but different.

[–] AnUnusualRelic@lemmy.world 1 points 4 hours ago

What about the propeller? Does it mean anything?

[–] Xuderis@lemmy.world 1 points 4 hours ago

Fun fact: rock climbers wear beanies to prevent them from falling.

[–] nifty@lemmy.world 1 points 4 hours ago* (last edited 4 hours ago)

Oh snap, guess I am kitchen staff o7

[–] Carvex@lemmy.world 54 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

You forgot the most important, smallest, highest ranking beanie, the yarmulke!

[–] RubberElectrons@lemmy.world 9 points 11 hours ago

That's pretty good hahaha

[–] Lemjukes@lemm.ee 18 points 9 hours ago (2 children)

Ah yes this stupid ass post that thinks baristas are making more than construction workers and forklift drivers…

[–] ShinkanTrain@lemmy.ml 7 points 6 hours ago* (last edited 6 hours ago)

Not to mention drug dealers, which can vary a lot

[–] holo@lemmy.wtf 4 points 8 hours ago

Forklift operators yes, construction workers also yes depending on the region. In many areas of the US the majority of construction workers are undocumented workers and thus kept at or below minimum wage. Forklift operators really don't make a lot of money. Like more than general warehouse labor but even in decent states that tends to be pretty low on the spectrum.

Why would I wear a beanie and have cold ears?!

[–] tfw_no_toiletpaper@lemmy.world 5 points 7 hours ago (2 children)

Because you are going bald lmao

[–] SkyezOpen@lemmy.world 3 points 4 hours ago

Woah hey why do you have to bring up the fact that Tim Pool is going bald?

[–] Xanthrax@lemmy.world 4 points 6 hours ago

My hairline is receding faster than the Russians, but my ears are what I'm what I'm worried about.

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 3 points 7 hours ago

I guess to assert your dominance

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 5 points 7 hours ago

I wear the bottom right beanie, but my career is of the top left. Have I broken the rules? Nobody informed me of beanie etiquette.

[–] solsangraal@lemmy.zip 19 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

as someone with an unreasonably large head, the gamer beanie still too small

[–] PunnyName@lemmy.world 10 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago)

Right? Fuck all these small headed people that look good with beanies. I just want my ears to stay warm!

[–] neidu3@sh.itjust.works 14 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

I don't wear a beanie, that explains why I keep failing upwards.

[–] Onomatopoeia@lemmy.cafe 5 points 10 hours ago

Yea, I don't know anyone, anywhere I've ever worked that wore a beanie.

Except when I did construction, or mechanic, or maintenance... You know, where we were outside in the cold.

[–] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 8 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

The first style could also be a seaman on a merchant mariner vessel.

[–] I_am_10_squirrels@beehaw.org 1 points 6 hours ago

Beanie on my head and seamen on my face

[–] Shawdow194@fedia.io 7 points 10 hours ago
[–] Shanedino@lemmy.world 3 points 8 hours ago

To some extent it's just a representation of people who wear a beanie for functionality vs looks.

[–] Clinicallydepressedpoochie@lemmy.world 1 points 7 hours ago* (last edited 6 hours ago)

Construction workers do not sacrifice their bodies to be paid less than a barista

[–] Duamerthrax@lemmy.world 2 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

The fact the Forklift Operators are paid less then UX Designers is a crime against humanity.

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 1 points 7 hours ago* (last edited 7 hours ago) (1 children)

Driving a forklift is quite a bit easier than designing great user experiences, and requires a lot less training and experience.

Source: I've done both

[–] Duamerthrax@lemmy.world 2 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

And I haven't seen good, modern user design.

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 2 points 7 hours ago* (last edited 6 hours ago) (1 children)

UX and UI/design aren't the same thing. You can have a great UX with a super basic UI. But your statement is a testament to how much skill is required to create a good UX.

[–] Duamerthrax@lemmy.world 2 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

Seems like more effort goes into breaking good UX design now.

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 1 points 5 hours ago

True that. All these asshole companies trying to force their apps by intentionally breaking their mobile site. I sure miss the days when mobile first responsive development was the new hotness.

[–] eestileib@sh.itjust.works 4 points 10 hours ago

Make it even smaller and you can become Rocky Balboa's trainer.

[–] peoplebeproblems@midwest.social 1 points 8 hours ago

Where does one get a tiny beanie? Not because I'm a software engineer, but because it looks hilarious

[–] Zelaf@sopuli.xyz 2 points 10 hours ago

Why is this so accurate??

[–] troglodytis@lemmy.world 1 points 9 hours ago

I wear a teeny weeny beany when I eat a tangeriney
