Summary

The FBI seized over 150 homemade pipe bombs, tools, and bomb-making materials from the Virginia home of Brad Spafford in December, marking the largest cache of finished explosive devices in FBI history.

Spafford, 36, was initially charged with possessing an unregistered short-barrel rifle, with additional charges related to the explosives expected.

Prosecutors allege Spafford supported political violence, including using President Biden’s image for target practice.

While defense attorneys argue for his release, citing a lack of evidence of planned violence, prosecutors maintain Spafford’s dangerousness due to the explosive devices and his expressed support for political violence.

Fat fingered an edit and deleted a comment:

The only reason he was caught is the guy bought a farm and immediately started telling neighbors about his plan...

Leading to a neighbor wearing a wire.

Which is important, because not all these idiots are dumb enough to assume everyone agrees with them and just tell everyone they're plotting to overthrow society.

And when they pass that very low bar, law enforcement doesn't catch them before they act

What I wanted to add:

Dude already blew off three fingers messing around with homemade explosives...

The informant went to the farm wearing a wire in October, authorities say. Spafford, at some point, then allegedly admitted to possessing the short-barrel rifle, saying it wasn’t registered it because “he does not believe in registration.”

If I were the informant, I'd be a bit nervous if and when Brad's released.

When he is released... On $25k bond.

But God help you if you are a woman who got denied healthcare coverage and say over the phone "delay deny depose, you people are next."

There's no bail for that. I wonder how many illegal firearms she had?

I know isn't that some bullshit. Woman own zero guns and was just lashing out. And we couldn't even crowd source her bail which was set at 100k.

This motherfucker had bombs and was planning a mass killing he gets 25k. America were fucked and we need to start a revolution. Because proof where in a class war.
