Not realistic. Jimmy does not laugh this little.

The only one who laughs at Jimmy Fallon’s jokes is Jimmy Fallon.

I hate his stupid fake laugh so god damn much. Never understood how he's popular. Can't they see him for what he is?

You're asking this in a nation where tens of millions think Donald Trump is president material.

He found his Good Boy

[–] Benjaben@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago

It has puzzled me too. I think it's a combination of:

  • above average raw charisma (people subconsciously want to relate to him)
  • VERY generous / manufactured audiences
  • our strong subconscious tendency to want to laugh along with others
  • deliberate abuse of the "this is so funny I can't help but break character" move, the most egregious and hateable thing the man does

People look at me like I slapped their mother when I say I find him 0% funny or likeable.

They either can't see it or they see it perfectly well and they like what they see.

You may find either or both of these disgusting.

This logic can also be applied to elections.

Why does the cartoon version of him look more like a real person than the actual guy?

[–] mPony@lemmy.world 51 points 1 week ago (3 children)

because talent is involved in trying to draw him
but no talent is involved in trying to be him

I forgot that he still did that show.

Such mirth. The likes of which the world has never seen.

Probably caused by an Aztec deity-like entity flaying the skin to gain power for a resurrection

[–] Safipok@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 week ago

Like is this the entertainment method for a regular human being?

[–] mortemtyrannis@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 week ago

Fuck Jimmy Fallon.

Johnny Carson is rolling in his grave because that hack is hosting the Tonight Show.

Oh, the guys from the realm of a thousand suns in Valérian and Laureline.
