Lathes are expensive though, so if there expense were to come from our shared account we would need to have a discussion first.

I have a friend who’s very attracted to her husband’s woodworking. Mind you he’s a world class artisan for equipment for a shared hobby of theirs, but still, she’s very supportive of his lathe purchases.
I used to work at a leather shop. I can say alot of women find that pretty attractive. Too bad I'm asexual.

Being handy is attractive. Getting a nice unique present is cool. And blacksmiths / woodworkers are the ones that do that kind of stuff.
I'm also willing to bet that the blacksmith they are picturing looks very different from your average blacksmith.

Unironically, most of the women I've spoken too have found it attractive when I bring up 3dPrinting. It's an active and interesting hobby, and tangible & crafty enough not to be too "nerdy" or whatever. Perfect middle ground, women love it.
They probably just didn't think of it or it wasn't on the poll.

I read, write, and cook, and can play several instruments (kazoo, mouth harp, washboard, tamborine,...). Where's the women that find me attractive?
