As a Spurs fan, I haven’t wanted Arsenal to sign Rice. But for that money, I’m ok with it. Great player, but ties up funds so it’s a big gamble.

Sure seems like City ran up the cost on purpose.
Was there not a comment from Declan saying that he preferred a London club compared to moving to Manchester? Or was that just a ploy to try to up the price?
I haven't saw him directly making the comment but every journalist seems to use the lines "just had a baby" and "wants to stay close to family" etc.
