I've not seen anybody in denial about Biden's age. Not one. People are aware he's ancient.

It's pretty funny when the Trumpets come along and concern troll about his age, though, as if Trump isn't in his late 70s and struggles to string a sentence together.

Who is denying Biden's age?

Are there Democrats claiming he's actually 35?

Who is denying Biden's age?

Nobody. OP just googles "Biden is old" every day and spams Lemmy with whatever nonsense pops up.

I’m not a Biden fan but I am a realist. If I’ve got to deal with the hand I’m given, I’m going with Biden.

Now how about the media stop hiding how frail Trump is? Can we see him walk up a slight incline without handholds?

Can we see him keep up with other world leaders during a stroll without a gold cart?

From:

Democrats are in need of a reality check. The stakes are too high for us to indulge in the kind of denial

It will be repeated daily from now through the election on a thousand social and partisan media platforms.

Saved you a click.

So? And what? What is this acknowledgement going to achieve? Other than being a completely baseless claim to begin with the author offers no positive outcome from this supposed need for us all to close our eyes, click our heels and say "Biden is old" until the words lose meaning.

The author needs to spend less time rolling around in verbal faeces on X and spend a bit more time talking to people in the real world. That would reduce their proclivity for high school drama levels of reaction to an old man being old.

This election is pretty much My Grandpa vs Hitler - I would much prefer my Grandpa

[–] Candelestine@lemmy.world 6 points 8 months ago

I dunno, I think it's working fine. If some younger, fiery leftist had wanted to primary him, I think that'd have been fine too, but just ... none did. Among the couple of people that did primary him, none really stood out. Like, Dean Philips was fine, but the guy literally didn't have a platform that wasn't "I'm a mainstream dem that's not Biden."

That's not good enough to take down an incumbent.

But otherwise, what do you want? If nobody with positions runs against him, then nobody with positions runs against him. It's not like AOC was 10 years older and vying for the nomination and we all ignored her or something.

It's more than just age. People are just starting to make shit up now.

I was watching, I think it was CNN the other day, it might have been MSNBC, and one of their talking head guests was commenting that we need to move the conversation from "Biden is a good President" to "Biden is a great President" and then she dropped this jaw dropper:

"Biden is the most consequential and impactful President of my lifetime."

And I'm not prone to yelling at my TV, but unless you were born after 1/20/2021 - No he FUCKING isn't!

[–] MrNesser@lemmy.world 4 points 8 months ago (1 children)

As a non American looking at this Biden has been a caretaker president, cleaning up a lot of the mess Trump left behind. Which is exactly what you needed. But there's no way he has been impactful.

[–] jordanlund@lemmy.world 0 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Yup. The biggest impact he had was cleaning up the Covid response, both medically and financially, but it's not so much he did a good job as Trump doing a thoroughly terrible job.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 4 points 8 months ago

I would say that his infrastructure deal and the CHIPS act will both have a big impact, but I wouldn't call him the most consequential and impactful president of my life time. Unfortunately, that crown goes to Reagan.

[–] Badeendje@lemmy.world 2 points 8 months ago

That last sentence.. lol.. I feel you!

[–] xc2215x@lemmy.world 5 points 8 months ago (1 children)

He is old but no Democrat is going to beat him and Trump has gotten too out of control.

[–] die444die@lemmy.world 3 points 8 months ago

“has gotten”

Biden may be older, but Trump is actually infirm with either neurosyphilis or active dementia.

And like every single member of their generation, I'm sure they are both riddled with lead poisoning.

[–] ryathal@sh.itjust.works 1 points 8 months ago

Both exhibit signs of dementia. So do almost every 70+ year old person.

[–] Shalakushka@kbin.social 4 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Another day, another return2ozma Biden Bad post

[–] return2ozma@lemmy.world -5 points 8 months ago (1 children)

They'll keep coming through November. Buckle up.

[–] Shalakushka@kbin.social 1 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Yes, we know you have nothing better to do

[–] return2ozma@lemmy.world -4 points 8 months ago

It takes 1 minute to copy and paste a URL. Easy

[–] deegeese@sopuli.xyz 4 points 8 months ago (2 children)

Oh look it’s Trump’s friend return2ozma here again to tell Democrats not to vote.

[–] K1nsey6@lemmy.world 0 points 8 months ago

It's not solely about age, a majority of it is about cognitive mental decline. Liberals can see Trump's mental decline to clear his day, but keep their head in their sand about Biden's, when both are obvious
