Also, bitter veggies like radicchio or chicory

[โ€“] AgreeableLandscape@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Asparagus. It's the only vegetable I actively can't eat.

do you have an allergy or do you just dislike it as is?

[โ€“] AgreeableLandscape@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 years ago

The lentil (Lens culinaris or Lens esculenta).

[โ€“] Echedenyan@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Coriander. Its smell and taste makes me feel nauseous.

[โ€“] Delzur@fapsi.be 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It's also fucking strong. A small piece of leave of it can ruin an otherwise perfect fork of deliciousness.

Determined by your genetics for coriander.

Even after reading through the thread I can't think of one

[โ€“] HMH@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 years ago

That'd be green beans. In Germany they are aptly named "Brechbohnen" which can be interpreted as "vomiting-beans".

Tomatoes. They should all be shipped to a remote island and be blown up.

When I was a kid, I despised asparagus. I was fine with pretty much anything else, so I didn't get any complaints from my parents. Then all of the sudden, I was fine with it. Now I can't think of any vegetable that I wouldn't eat as long as it has decent preparation.

[โ€“] AgreeableLandscape@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Happened to me with broccoli. When I became an adult, a switch flipped at some point and it became one of my favourite vegetables.

My husband loves all sorts of veggies (I call him my rabbit), but one of the few exceptions is that he despises green peppers.

[โ€“] sexy_peach@feddit.de 1 points 2 years ago

Based and vegetable pilled

[โ€“] Sal@mander.xyz 1 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Carrot greens.

I tried making something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qIEJqmzG7E

Supposedly they are edible, but I am not sure I agree. Maybe I just cooked them wrong, but they remained super tough and bitter.

[โ€“] gun@lemmy.ml 0 points 2 years ago

I actually love most of the veggies already posted here. Maybe I would have said cauliflower in the past, but I have since experienced fried cauliflower nuggets, and those are amazing. So it has to be peas for me. Peas are just not my thing.
