If you don't submit enough signatures, you don't get on the ballot. That's true in several states. This isn't even on the level of Trump fomenting insurrection. This is just either not enough people wanting him to run or his campaign not making the effort.

Right, it's one of many built-in tasks to being President. Be 35 or older, be a naturally born citizen of the United States, don't involve yourself in insurrections, and get enough signatures to appear on the ballot.

Isn't there Secret rule that if you double up on any one qualification you get to ignore one of your choosing? I'm pretty sure that the Supreme Court will back me up on this. ;-)

I can't believe Christie is less popular than that buffoon Ramaswammy

Ramaswamy has youth and beauty on his side; that alone will probably get him farther than Christie.

Hey, Chris Christie is pretty enough to get elected in New Jersey....

[–] empireOfLove2@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 9 months ago (1 children)

That's not saying much about New Jersey tbh

They've been trying to get Christie to quit for the last couple of weeks. He doesn't.

[–] mateomaui@reddthat.com 6 points 9 months ago

Probably doesn’t matter. As long as he’s still in the debates knocking vivek & co over, that’s good enough.

You mean Trump isn't the only person having eligibility troubles? Where is the outrage?!?!?!?!

[–] neptune@dmv.social 1 points 9 months ago

But wait! Shouldn't Chris Christie be accused and convicted of a crime first? What about due process? If they would find more people who like Chris Christie, they'd all vote for him! The constitution! Get my feinting couch!
