Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s approval ratings are essentially the same in 2023 (40%) as they were in 2020 (39%) when Gallup last measured them. However, more Israelis (52%) continue to disapprove of his leadership than approve of it.

Indicative of the horribly complicated history there.

Many Jews come to Israel from other parts of the world where they where a minority and mistreated. Now they are in a place where the Palestinians act towards jews as they are accustomed to, but Jews are no longer a weak minority and do t have to take it. So they don't and thus vote for someone that doesn't. (Not approving, just understandable).

It makes me sad that there does not seem to be an end to this spiral of hatred between Palestinians and Jews as this just keeps the blood flowing in the streets.
