Collapse

This is the place for discussing the potential collapse of modern civilization and the environment.
Collapse, in this context, refers to the significant loss of an established level or complexity towards a much simpler state. It can occur differently within many areas, orderly or chaotically, and be willing or unwilling. It does not necessarily imply human extinction or a singular, global event. Although, the longer the duration, the more it resembles a ‘decline’ instead of collapse.

Well, human, the green-house gas, it gonna be keepin' you warm,
It 'bout the right temperature fi makin' a lotta storms...
It would be interesting to see more regional data because 1.6° seems low to me, considering how noticeably higher the temperatures are.
You'll have some areas that were 1-5+ degrees warmer than normal and some areas that were 1-5+ degrees cooler than normal.
But overall there would be more areas that were warmer.
Your regional area was probably one of the warmer ones.
